Deserter Tag/Surrender loot

You can do a fair bit of inference from the positive stats. Look how many wars stars they have, how much war loot. Low numbers may (not definitely) mean they tend to not do all their attacks. (whether or not they actually leave)

If they have a timer on them, ask about it. Ask the clan name they left. If they cant give it (like say they cant remember which is generally ♥♥) then take that as ducking the question and don't trust to go into war with them. If they give a clan name ask why they left. if they say lousy in war or don't donate check the clan numbers to see if that holds true.

Also, amount of time on a timer means a lot. Anyone with more than 12 hours is pretty suspect. The closer to going over 24 hours the more suspect they are. Even guys that are fed up with a clans donations or war should wait until the end of one to make their break, and most do. its the hoppers that just up and go on a more often basis.

Note - I have had guys show up with a 24+ hour war timer that it turned out they were not aware of. And some of those guys once it came to their attention doubled back to the previous clan (even though they were mad at them for sucking them into a war they had not wanted) and done the follow through before leaving again and coming to ours. Those are good guys and also proof that accidents do happen.

I do not see the hopper issue as anything close to the problem I'm explaining.

Today we officially lost our clan war by one star, we had 3 deserters and actually lost from a tie in the last minutes on one of the deserters base, those 3 players and their 6 attacks were gone but their bases remained to work against us. Now we get a stain on our record plus lost resources. It's not right.

This is a strong case for an exception. A temporary hopper/deserter tag of some sort would be very useful. They'd have to earn that thing. That's on them.

That's the idea, earned action, should set it if you click leave during war it gives you option to take penalty, cancel, or leave after war so nobody is trapped in a 24/7 war clan.

The whole experience of letting jerks ruin clan wars is a negative mark against the good loyal players as it is. Protecting players and new war system is not negative.

You do not get your war loot bonus if you voluntarily leave before war ends.. if you are kicked out, you keep war loot...only fair way...either way the person is on cool down til the end of war with current system. If you wait til war ends, then leave you are ok...and again, you will be on cool down til war ends regardless of which option that happens. Fair enough? May slow down war hopping.

Let them keep their stars....they earned those regardless.

I agree that hoppers are a problem and it has ruined a war or two for me, but instead of putting a negative mark on them why not just deny them the ability to leave a clan if they are involved in the war? Or possibly make them wait 12 hours before they're allowed to join a new clan.
