Dark elixir loss in raid

It seems to me (a strong th8) that I am raided mercilessly for dark elixir when I get above 12k in storage. Higher level people raid the dark elixir faster or as fast as I can produce it. Maybe the new drill will fix this issue, but I'm not sure. It seems nearly impossible to upgrade my barb king or any dark elixir troops. I think higher level people should get a decreasing or more aggressively decreasing amount of dark elixir when raiding lower level villages.

Like I said though this maybe irrelevant or resolved at least with the added dark elixir drill. (mine will be done in a few hours so I'll see)

Supercell wants you to buy gems to fill your DE storage.
That's their right and I have no problem with it. They created a fun game.

And after you go to the next town hall level, you're going to need even more dark elixir, and you'll be the guy raiding lower level halls. So, well, it's gonna equal out for you.

It's like seniors in high school picking on the freshman. Happens to everyone but you'll get your chance too.

That's pretty much what I thought but I've noticed on the forums many people are quick to say "you can do anything without buying gems just be patient" and in this case I'm not sure that's true. My dark elixir exists mostly for other people to steal at this point. I know I can be patient and Wait until th9 or 10, that's not the point.

Loot penalty already exists and is quite severe for two ths up. Put th outside and see if theres anything you can change from defence replays

I upgrade my bk to lv 8 when th8
and save 40k for aq so when my townhall finish i just get aq
there no trouble with de
as th9 i can get 15k a day

I'm going to assume that you do not have a farming base. I would put de in the middle of your base and protect it well, put town hall on outside, people will snipe you and give you free shield.

Go to TH9 and max out your Drill collectors. Easy 4800 DE per day. Farm up to crystal and you'll be swimming in DE. When you see you got raided for 3000 DE you'll just say, "meh".

In this game the idea is you raid more than you lose in raids. Just get out there and steal it back from poor positioned full drills or storages.
