I dont have golems yet but. Im sure that I will be using GoWiPe as soon as I get them. Instead of GoWiPe for now, in clan wars I use. HoWiPe which is pretty affective with an assuring 2 stars on a town hall 8 but for the three stars, you would need to have higher level hogs and pekkas maybe level 3. I use 2 heal spells and 1 rage spell
Army Composition:
Pekka - 3
Hog Riders - 15(including clan caslte hog riders)
Wizards - 13
Archers - 3
Minions - 2 (just in case theres a stupid cannon left at the end lol)
I use Gowiwipe. Works well on both multi and single-target IT bases, the witches help screen the pekkas and heroes from the single-target IT's.

3 Witch
6 WB
5 Archers for getting the last few %
CC: 2 Witch, 2 Wiz, 3 archers.
Spells: 2 Freeze, 1 Jump, 1 Rage, 1 Lightning.

You can also use 2 rage 1 heal, feel free to play around with it to see what suits you best.
I switched from hoggs to GoWiPe vs TH8's because I ALWAYS three star them, even maxed ones.
Gowiwipe all the way. ;)
As someone else has mentioned, each base requires a different setup, maybe more witches, or maybe an extra pekka, maybe 1 less.
Gowiwipe is hella fun too! :)
