everyone gets screwed by pekka nerf but th10s

Ok, i get nerfing pekkas a little, but why did pekkas get nerfed so much? L3s are now junk. So that means gowipe is screwed unless u are a th10. For those who dont know, L3 pekkas can no longer kill most thing in one hit, they now take 2, making them half as strong. I get why, but by doing this, it means that pekkas are now worthless til L4. Come on SC. So h2ow do u fix this, make it so u can upgrade to L4 at th9, should have been like that anyways once L5s came out. I guess its time to use more valks seeing how they wont get nerfed.

By ... the hit points increase on buildings? Is that what you're saying?

Yup, L3s now take 2 hits to kill cannons, maxed collector, de drill and more

By that logic everything was nerfed -.-

Just upgrade to town hall 10 and get max pekkas.

I don't know about you but my pekkas are usually coring a base. Not working on collectors and seldom cannons.

While it may be true that everything got nerfed a little, L3 pekkas need to attack twice instead of once, meaning they are half as strong. Nothing got nerfed like that, not one troop other than L3 pekkas lost half of their strength.

Perhaps using pekka in the core would help?... Leave collectors and drills and cannons to other troops, such as whizzies....

If you're using your PEKKAs to take out perimeter buildings, you're doing it wrong.

So u know im a th8, and it happens for us, easy for high level players to say what u are saying, when u have 240 troops plus 35 in cc to work with, and the answer is yes, sometimes they do go outside, pekkas have the minds of archers and dragons. But their stregnth was something that always helped. Everyone can bash me all they want but no one has answered my real question, why did they nerf th8 and 9 gowipe so bad. I obviously suck to u guys, so nerfing really wasn't needed.

That's why you take out the outer buildings first on the side you are attacking from before placing your PEKKAs.

If your PEKKAs go around the perimeter, you've already screwed up a GOWIPE raid enough. No need to worry about the buffed outer buildings anymore anyway.

So once again, why did they nerf they them. I get that if they go around the perimeter the gowipe was messed up. So what was the point of making th8 and 9 pekkas so weak? They add a L5 and then make L3s weaker, doesnt make sense, that's what im getting at... btw i caught the respect, thanks for not being a forum jurk and being respectful.

It's a nerf for armies that target the outer buildings for 50%, not PEKKAs or GOWIPE. In fact, they are trying to encourage you to use stronger army compositions instead of barch/BAM.

PEKKA are meant to do their damage with rage. They still one hit everything you mentioned while under rage. There are very few things they don't one hit while raged. Just get them to the core, rage them, and profit. This outside building stuff isn't aimed at PEKKA.

Again, its a monetary incentive for upper teirs. Half of this update was them trying to get top teir TH players to purchase gems. Greed is going to harm SuperCell soon enough. Look at XboxLive and PSN, some group is having a field day with them.

I have to agree. Before, I didn't think Lvl 4 PEKKAs should be available for TH9. Now I do. Either do that, change it back to before or increase PEKKA damage (Only Lvl 3+ Though)

Wrong. All Supercell staff including the developers of Clash of Clans are volunteers and work for free.

Didn't you know they were a charity foundation?

and for the OP
if you manage to bring in the PEKKA to the core, drop that rage spell right on top of it
then you have got yourself a killing machine as it will destroy everything there
PEKKA shouldnt be handling the perimeter buildings

Fact? Interesting... you have access to their revenue reports and internal memos? Please share...

Theyre profits are available online. Do some research on it.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they lost revenue because of the loot problem caused by you low-levels dumping so many resources into your low-level walls.

In fact, it may have actually been their incentive to see if more people would use gems on purchasing resources with gems if loot was super scarce.

However, if most people that use gems more regularly are like me, then the largest base of gem revenue comes from when loot is good enough that it's worth it to boost barracks, heroes, and spell factory and gem the upgrade times on upgrades when your builders are tied up or your lab is tied up so you can start the next upgrade.

Hopefully, they either figured out that the majority of their revenue does not come from the people that buy resources with gems - or they knew this all along, and saw that the elixir for walls at such low levels was a mistake and negatively affected this.

And as many people will be quick to remind you, this is a "free" game and you are free to stop playing if you're not satisfied with the updates. However, there are actually many paying customers, and Supercell is very smart to cater to us.

After all, happy paying customers and upset freeloaders are better than angry paying customers and happy freeloaders.

I think that the change to pekkas was unintended, but I agree that it's rough. This doesn't happen much anymore since I'm th 10, but at lower ths, one of the perks of using pekkas in your army was that even if they went around the base you were usually guaranteed a star for 50%. The changes to building hitpoints make that not the case anymore and giving th 9s level 4 pekkas is something Supercell should strongly consider.

Lavaloon(ion) is the new way to go anyway.

I haven't really noticed much of a difference because my Pekkas are usually destroying the core. By the time they get to the outer part, my Wizards/King have already destroyed most of the buildings.
