Max all in a level = replying to questions of an exam in their order

In a nutshell it is stupid.

you should first read all the questions, know how much every one brings and then start replying first to the one you know the best and that brings the most points.

Not making th 8 because your defenses are not up at max is like replying to question 1) and then 2) and then 3) without even reading the following before replying.

You could have added defenses at level 9 at much lower cost than the cost of up what you already have.

Even more silly if you wait to up mines.

2 bow brings much more than max canons and archers towers but cost less.

So up the th to the max you can and then the defense of each th to a cheap level.

Better having 4 anti air at level 3 than 3 at level 4 or even 5 as the up bring only 10 % more while a new defense brings 33 %.


So think before playing.

Except in an exam paper, question 1, question 2, question 3 are all independent of one another.
Marks allocated and scored for question 1 is not needed/a requirement for you to do question 2.
Even some question specifically states "Question 2: By using your answer in question 1, or Otherwise.. blah blah blah"

However, having adequate defense level will significant increase your chance of defending at a higher TH level, not to mention loot penalty/bonus system.
Hence the event of maxing one's base affects your gaming experience at a higher th level.
Thus they are not independent events.

So, if I understand you correctly (there is a good chancecI might not), you think it is stupid to max out your base before you upgrade your town hall. ... ... You now what, I think you are right, please rush your town hall. You can stop reading now, Lesmog.


Everyone else, upgrading your town hall makes it so people raid you for more loot, and you get less loot per raid. If you do not have near maxed out troops and defences before you upgrade, you will find yourself being attacked by and attacking higher level players, with inadequate ways of defeating them. Remember, it is easier to get that 1.5 million gold at th8 to get your cannon to lvl10, than to get that same gold at th9, especially if you upgraded prematurely.

That's somewhat valid and people can rush a TH upgrade to varying degrees. For example someone who at least maxed their main troops on the way will do much better than someone who didn't. The reason so many people on the forums recommend maxxing everything has nothing to do with making the most powerful TH7 you can, it's all about taking advantage of TH loot penalties and bonuses. Simply put, if I'm going to upgrade everything anyway, and I make more and or easier loot at TH6 than I would at TH9 then why shouldn't I upgrade everything I can while at TH6?

The son has a higher level account, we should be listening to him.

The logic behind maxing everything before you go up from TH 7 to TH 8 has everything to do with loot availability rather than what is optimal as far as base defense.

So in order for you to convince me that your revolutionary mindset works, you have to sell me on how I will be able to get more loot at a higher lvl TH with an underdeveloped army and base?

Upgrading to th9 is more beneficial. But waiting till you are maxed will save you money and time in the long run.
