do what's fun. if playing catch-up at TH8 for eight months with a severe loot penalty was fun, then i'm sure TH9 will be fun, too. your defenses are actually okay, and the penalty for maxing not maxing TH8 is not as severe as the penalty for maxing TH7 (which you've already experienced). i would check out the farming base designs thread, though, as your use of walls/placement of your clan castle is sub-optimal.

1. Curt response because of the person... There was a poll in the off topic sub forum about who would make a better forum mod...Daddy and Zach topped the list... There is a reason why this person was not even a contender... I did ask for people's thoughts.. I wouldn't consider that a thought.. It was a little constipated.

2. The state of my base has no bearing on the length of time i have been at TH 8. It has to deal with how often a day i play. Ever think that some people play less per day than others? I am aware of the barrack situation but since i enjoy farming and using barbarians archers and goblins, i do not deem it necessary to be without barracks for days and not be able to attack.. I don't care about pumping out dragons and pekka quickly

3. Loot penalties? Shrug, im still routinely pullin 200k off people. I don't care about trophys and believe that I am an above average farmer, so i am aware of them but not worried about them. The use of my wall placement is not sub optimal. There are varied depths and corners. There are no 4-way intersections. Wall breakers have never penetrated deep enough to do any harm, the shortest path for them only cracks the shell... Clan castle placement i kept close to the TH because trophy hunters start there and I have a quicker reponse time to attacks from there.
