The most crippling, limiting thing about this game

Is the severely restricted, limiting communications. The Clan leader can send ONE SINGLE email of 512 chars to the clan ONCE per 12 hours!! You cant message individuals, or other clan leaders.. Theres no where you can pin notice board messages. Also, theres no method of Surrendering and conceding a war, instead you have to wait the entire two days and play out what can be a pointless farce.

Leaders need to be able to message the clan whenever they like. How can you post clan orders when theres no way to address all members more than once in 12 hours, apart form the unlikely possibility all members turn up in chat at the same time?

Just thinking out loud here, but what if someone invented an app like kik or line? Silly notion i know.

As far as being able to surrender, how would that work? The full 24 hours are needed so everyone can get both their attacks in. Not everyone plays on the same schedule. And the only way to get a war bonus is to get at least one star.

I actually agree with this ( edit: on clan communication. - not surrender)

Whilst i can appreciate others use external ways of communicating this is not ideal.

I have a mixed age clan and quite frankly I don't want to encourage them to communicate with people they don't know over the web.

My work around for clan mail is to make other people co and send a mail for me (followed by rapid demotion) when a co leader is not around.

There was a stage I had someone send a few mails for me in the clan. Id ask him to write out in chat word for word what he was going to write in the mail. often this would be worded perfectly. But when he sent the mail he used to end it with 'or you will be kicked' . Doh. I found it hilarious but not exactly the supportive & encouraging approach I wanted from my co leaders.

Plus some people like the challenge of attacking a base or try out new troops - regardless of whether or not the war is going to be won.

i agree on the entire communication thing. sure, there are other venues for communication, but they are outside of the game. we have members in clan ranging from ages 12 to 35, so i wouldn't want a 12 year old adding some 30 year old on their kik or facebook account just to chat about clash of clans. supercell should come out with a better way for clan leaders to communicate with their members.

as far as being able to surrender a war, i totally agree. we have had members drop out during war preparation, but their bases were already on the war map. so not only did we lose the player, but we lost their attacks as well. also, there have been times where we were so far behind on stars that even if the ones who hadn't attacked yet got 6 stars with their attacks, it wouldn't change the outcome of the war anyway.

Well the idea was the leader can surrender. After all, thats what a clan leader is about, isnt it?that way you can move on from a war you're getting pasted in.

Doesn't matter. It's unfair to the winning clan. The only way this would work at all is for one clan to surrender and the other clan to have the option of accepting or rejecting the surrender.

Don't take it too seriously, it's a mobile game after all :)

Ypes the feature where Leader can send message every 12 hrs is limiting, but if u want to concede or surrender, dont attack. That is surrender in my opinion. There r so many more interesting and imp things which need attention first. 😊
