Very important info on spawning X-Mass Tree
I have 4 x-mass trees from 2012 and 2 Halloween tombstones before this x-mass update and after update, a pine tree was spawned and not the new 2014 x-mass tree! As soon as I cut down the pine tree, another pine tree was in line to be spawned. So I came to the conclusion that, could it be that the max special obstacles is 6. Thus I cut down a tombstone, and lo and behold, a 2014 x-mass tree was born!
Therefore, if you have 6 special obstacle in your base, your x-mass tree will not be spawned!
Also it seem obvious that if you have been dedicated a x-mass tree, it will come to you, you just need to remove a special obstacle, and how do you know it will come to you? a normal pine tree will be spawned instead of a x-mass tree.
I don't have screenshot to proof this, but if you have a normal pine tree spawned after the x-mass update, you can check if you have maxed out your special obstacles and if so don't worry, removing one will allow for your dedicated x-mass tree.
I don't remember seeing any info on the maxed special obstacles so hope this helps.
If you have 7 special obstacles in your base to disprove this info please share your base screenshot.

And i have had 2 pine trees spawn so far, i believe this info is false. It is just random.
