Did anyone else realize this?

First off I'd like to state I know there are probably tons of threads discussing the update and I looked but didn't find one that paid attention to net increase in the game. Net increase for what you ask? Let me explain.

So at first I was kinda not excited for the update being th9, I'm kinda in the dead zone. My walls are all skulls and lvl 9s so i'm not effected by the whole wall thing, and th9 got no new toys so I was like meh... doesn't change my clashing experience.

So i'm sitting there and deciding what to upgrade next. I look at the collectors and see they only produce an extra 500 at lvl 12 so of course I was in no rush to upgrade them because in all they only produce an extra 12,000 an hour. That's gold and elixir together so 6,000 each.

Then it hit me...
MILLIONS OF PEOPLE EVERY WHERE PLAY THIS GAME.

Now I couldn't find data on how many ACTIVE accounts there are in clash but considering the 100million people on Android who've downloaded this game and the other millions on apple its save to say there is a good couple million active.

Still being a cautious person I never like to over estimate so i took a number of people that I KNOW are playing this game.

We know at least 1 million people are playing based of the sheer number of downloads on this game and the revenue super cell brings in everyday.

Finally getting to the point LOL.
Take 12,000 (The hourly net increase for gold and lix for the new pumps and mines). Multiply it by 1 mil because that's the group of people I'm using as an example. I look something like this...

12,000 x 1,000,000= 12,000,000,000 A hour in the economy. That's only for the million people as well. Remember there are many more playing. Some are not th8 and up but still, one day they may be.

Now we know more than a million people play a day so do you think this will change things. Honestly i do. I don't care about inactive bases lol. I use a giant valk army to farm so im fine with crushing stores with more in them.

I'm a fan of having new collector levels. However, don't expect to be able to max your base from collectors alone. It's a small change that will improve things. Your maths (assuming its right - couldn't be bothered to check) shows 12bn resources entering the game, but don't forget that is spread across the 1m people, so it does come back to 12k each per day. Not going to break the bank, but a welcome addition.

That's true, it is spread out so ultimately for each individual its going to be 12000 lix and gold a day but I was calculating net increase so i'm just looking at how much more loot in all, is floating around in the economy. Thank you for your reply.

Correct me if I am wrong but according to my math that 500 an hour for 1 single collector means 12K extra gold or elixir from just 1 level 12 collector compared to level 11.

Since a TH9 has 6 gold mines and 6 elixir pumps that would be 72,000 more gold produced per day and 72,000 more elixir produced per day.

A TH10 has 7 of each so they can produce an extra 84,000 gold and 84,000 elixir in one day.

but what about those people who doesnt max their mines and collectors?

well considering how many ppl haven't bothered to max their collectors now, I wouldn't expect them to all over sudden start just because a new level has come out.

I for one am finally max defence and really have not much use for the extra the lv12 collectors would give me. I wI'll probably eventually do the elix collector but im not sure what im supposed to do with the gold, so I can't see that happening anytime soon if ever.

Imo the extra collector levels will not make a blidning bit of difference in terms of raifing others. If anything that minuscule increase in resource will be beneficial for the ones that do up their collectors and collect from it frequently.


Best part of the update: it's the prettiest most festive looking tree we've had so far :) ...love the tree :)

You guys forgot that people SPEND loot. Why all people expect that collectors will stay with loot and everyone can take this ?

Btw 80% people which I see dont have even 7-8 level collectors.
Reasons:

- long time to upgrade from level 1-12

- dont worth at all. If I today decide to upgrade collectors, will need month if I use all 4 workers.

Economy will be better if they bring back inactives. Why ? Bcs people spend more than produce ! My raids every day are 100x bigger than what my collectors make ! Only inacrives who dont spend and produce can help :D

But how many will actually upgrade them?
And when will it help?

First we need EVRY TH8+ to upgrade them all. Many will not
Thats 12+2 collectors at 5 days each.
Then at first they pull out. 6+1 *336000 Lix/gold from the loot system (on each base)

Payback time
As TH8. 6 collectors * 336000 = 2,016,000
Lost production during upgrade 6col*5days*24hours*3000 = 2,160,000
Time to produce 4,176,000 / (6col*3500) = 198 hours or roughly 8 days

So if everyone starts now. Loot should be better after new years.
Until then. It will SUCK because the collectors is upgrading :rolleyes:

I dont expect collector loot to stay in collectors... I expact you to collect it so then i can steal it from your stores providing you dont have enough for that next upgrade yet, to spend all ur loot.:)

Even if this does have an impact on the economy, it won't take effect for a good few weeks at the very least.

You need to allow for active players to upgrade their mines, and also for the current inactive bases to disappear. The reason for the second point is obviously that a current inactive player won't currently be upgrading their mines...

Yes but even if wait for next ugrade, I still will have much bigger income from raids. And will spend more on army than I produce ! Only if once or twice make army per day I spend more than my collectors make. Even if I dont spend on upgrades. That is why without inactives we have poor loot every day and why people complain every day.

If I have 100-450 attacks per season and 5 wars I spend much much much more than my collectors can make. So after all we spend all more than produce. So we depend from lower town halls.


I think if Supercell dont want to "bring back inactives", must to drastic short time for collectors upgrade and improve drastic incomen per hour.

this whole loot issue maybe magnified. example. if you are looking for 50k of each when raiding as i do. then you will without a doubt hit next fewer times. the averages we see might not be significant enough to max a th10 in 6 months but it will all help. plus you are spending maybe that less 1k per raid on nexting. i raid around 300-400 times per season so if i maxxed my collectors giving an extra 84k per day. times that by 14(season length) and factor in that i will probably press next fewer times you have

84k x 14 + 400K = 1,576,000. that is extrain the economy.

i agreee that not everyone will max their collectors but if we all did then we would be nexting even less. either way its a win win for me.

Joking aside... There aren't that many sources of new loot pumped into the game, there is:
- collectors
- warloot
- league bonusses
- goblin maps
Have I missed something here ?

In the end all loot floating around in the game comes from one of those sources.
A huge part of all loot spent and floating around was pumped, drilled or mined via collectors in someone's village. For the most part (except bonusses) loot you steal doesn't come from raiding or storages it comes from a collector somewhere.

You're right about collectors being the most important source of loot/resources in general. Perhaps SC should consider lowering building cost/time to make a bigger incentive to max collectors...

I am not sure if the answer would be to lower build time and cost. They are pretty cheap to upgrade and don't take ages to build.

If you don't want to max them immediately they can be useful to upgrade when there are times you don't have the time to play much and otherwise would have idle builders. A collector is nice an cheap to squeeze in with such events or when you're clan is trophy pushing and don't want to have defenses down or otherwise cannot afford expensive upgrades at the time.

And there's the added benefit when there is a resource 1-gem boost again. Personally I love these resources boosts especially when my 3 maxed drills are boosting away.

haha yea i did miss that one. In the end it will all add up but this and goblin maps is peanuts compared to the millions of collectors out there drilling, mining and pumping away as we speak.

Yeah I realised they're already cheap as soon as I wrote it. From an economists perspective, if there's two resources and time to spend, maximizing resources over time is the most logical thing to do first. So <3 lvl 12 collectors!

it's going to take a loooooooooooooooong time before level 12 collectors change the economy. Lots of people never upgraded them to level 11, so for that group of players the game ain't changing.

Also look at the break-even point:

on the 336k invested... that'll take a month to re-coup.
on the 360k opportunity cost... another month to re-coup.

My guess is that the DE capacity changes will have a more pronounced effect than the change to G&E production rates. And the DE capacity change is immediate which is great.

bringing back inactive? if 80% of them have only lvl3-8 collectors, they won't offer ♥♥♥♥

bury them some more i say... keep only inactive that have lvl10+ (but that... would be difficult to program)

I think what the OP is trying to get across is that even if people spend loot, the upgraded collectors still bring more into the economy overall.

Not everyone (like myself) can dedicate 2-3 hours of playing clash straight to raid enough loot for one upgrade at TH9. How I usually play is hop on, make a raid and train a new army and usually put my phone down until my next raid. 9-10 times I get raided in the time that I log off. Usually its a TH snipe (or so I hope :rolleyes:). However, if I am saving for a big upgrade (like X-bow lvl 3) I am going to have a ton of gold sitting in my storages waiting to be plucked. That extra loot I get from my collectors will in fact be able to be raided.

Overall, I think that this will help a lot. Bringing more loot into the system helps, period. Usually someone is lucky enough to grab 300k gold/elixir from me at least once while I am saving up for a big upgrade, so extra loot production is always welcome, but hey that's the game.
