Troop level interface: Stars or numbers?
With the new update, the stars that were once used to display troop levels have now been replaced by a number within a "box" with a black/gold background, thus changing the overall aesthetic of the interface.
The issue of readability has indeed been a concern amongst many, but instead of a complete overhaul, I'd like to propose for players to have the option to choose which troop level interface they wish to use.
1: Introduce a On/Off Toggle key
This would provide players with the option to toggle between using stars/ numbers.
There are many factors that can influence a player to choose either. Some players may have phones with larger screens and are less affected by issues of readability and function, leading them to be inclined toward a more aesthetically pleasing style, while those with relatively smaller screens may feel the strain and would readily forgo style for function.
As every player has his/her own preferences and circumstances, this option would provide greater flexibility and make the interface more user friendly while catering to a wider range of players.
2: Modifying the "Stars"
In tandem with the first suggestion, I would like to suggest some improvements to the star interface.
With all the level 7 troops being released nowadays, it might be a bit of a challenge to squeeze so many stars into such small spaces, and doing so may also compromise on readability.
Perhaps adding a -slightly- larger star to represent 5 or 6 of the small stars, or using a different set of insignia altogether for level 7 and above troops can be considered.
I.e.:
Level 1-6 using stars,
Level 7 using just one "X",
Level 8 using just two "X"s, etc.
"X" being whatever different symbol.
In other words, level 7 and above troops will not have any of the stars used for level 1-6 at all.
Additionally, I'd also like to suggest changing the color of the stars to one that creates more contrast between the stars and what's in the background. This would enhance the functionality while not deviating too far from the original style.
