And for that one time that happened to you, what level lightning was it, and how much gold did he take from you ?

But in this case, I would say yes, it should be fine, because the only time people will lightning that way is
1) Weaker players who know they can't reach the gold storage, so they just lightning and leave
2) Attackers who raided you, failed to reach your gold storage, so they just lightning and end raid

If a TH9 with 4 light spell appears, its not like his 4 lightning can take down 3 gold storage, in which zapping your mortars will be more effective for him.

But yeah, all these are my 2 cents/speculation. People can be weird and do funny things at times.

Reference: A Lv5 Lightning is 420 dmg, a Lv11 Gold storage has 2,016 hp.

Most of the time this happens when your DE storage is near your gold storages. I did have some th7 once attacking me with lightning strikes when I had 3 full gold storages together. However, it's a wish wash and there is no profit.

I like your last revision more.

Not many farmers would bother with your base, unless they wanted to attack you because you 3xLS'd their DE or something like that.

Only question is the placement of your spring traps. Why do you like placing them there as opposed to outside your walls in likely attack points?

Okay, currently my top 3 choices for your base in order of favorite is

1) V1 with this configuration
Red: Wizard Towers
Orange: Air Def
Blue: Mortars

Pros: Better coverage by mortars, 2 wiz protecting the most crucial area of your base
Cons: Air Def slightly bias to top left, but its still pretty centralise, and at 1,200~1,400 trophy range, you shouldn't be getting huge Air Raids

2) V1 with Mortar/Wiz swap, Air Def remains

3) V1.2
But I still dislike how 1 wiz protects 2 gold, while another side is 2 wiz protecting 1 gold.

Looks good but from the right side, once that mortars gone that whole side is open. All the gold is there for the taking with a few waves of troops.

Jun: air d is really important to me since I mostly get destroyed by dragon heavy attacks. I've only gotten looted 200k/200k from those type. People actually use it at this trophy range. Also, a lot of people revenge me and tend to rely on dragons.

RuthlessBarbarian: I like that design! My bf likes it a lotttt and he is thinking of changing his to that. I'm going to still use this one and just improve it. xD

hb808 & facescraper: yuppp. I save the traps for when they have actually broken into the base. Sometimes I get barb, goblin rushed and they just go all the way around my base without going inside.
