TH8 | jenniifuh's farming base

Hi guys! This is my TH8 farming base. It has not been perfected yet so I am very interested in any comments, criticisms and suggestions you guys have!

This is the first time since I've been TH8 that my buildings and walls are starting to be at max so it's been tricky figuring out placement. There will always be buildings outside upgrading because the moment I do not, I plan to be TH9. The 3rd air defense is not included because I am going to be constantly upgrading one until they are all at max. The teslas could go inside the 2x2 squares or wherever there is space.

Advantages of Overall Design

• 100% staggered T-junctions prevent effective wallbreaker usage
• Compact design to allow focus of defenses in one area
• Highly segmented
• Seperated storages make it difficult to attain 100% of resources
• Centered CC, unable to lure troops out
• Balanced defenses and equal coverage

Disadvantages of Overall Design

• Exposed elixir storages (frankly, I don't give a bunny hop about my elixir but if you do this is bad)
• Dark elixir may seem easily taken, but when I carry a lot (20k+), this building will be placed in the middle of my base .. well and I'll need to rethink placement

Track Record
Here I have compiled a list of previous attacks, removing the ones which were simply for the free shield.. because tbh most attacks I receive are not serious and are just for the TH. They're out of order to show some of the more fail ones at the top.

If I see anyone using my base in matchmaking, I will give you free shield without looting you. unless you are like a 400k gold target.. then I will not resist.

Inspired by Junliang and subtletea.

It's easy to get 2/3 gold storages, 2/3 elixir storages and your DE storage. Once the mortar at the north is destroyed, your defense there has dramatically weakened. The 2 wizard towers can't reach archers shooting the gold storages.

Looks like you took JulianG's and rearranged it a bit.

How do you guys suggest I place it then? Oh and yes I added a footnote.

Not to be a party pooper, but I think this should go into the base design thread.

Unless you have fully and throughly test your base out against th9, full lv6 armies, dual heroes, 4 spells, and have confirm your base to be strong, then sharing it with the community is okay.

But posting a work in progress base as a thread.. there was one yesterday, got merge with the base design thread.

Anyway, I don't like how you are protecting only 3 storages.
Bare minimum = 4 storages for TH8 farmers.

Nice base. Looks like it's almost time to jump into TH9. ;-)

If you time the last few upgrades with the Town Hall upgrade it'll save you some time also.

On topic, I see a lot of TH8's like this but with less developed walls. Lots of compartments, not great against a slow release of troops. I would hit this base from the top. Drop a few troops along the top, the CC activates once the troops hit the walls and i'd drop two lightnings on the Mortar destroying the CC troops coming out at the same time. Slow waves of Giants, Archers and Goblins working their way in are unstoppable. That's with maxed TH9 troops and there's not a lot more you can do with TH8 in terms of protection without X-Bows and the extra Wiz Tower. Most of my loots these days are TH8 and TH9's...

Jenni, you've got a very nice looking th8 base! I like pict two little better due to spaced out gold storages.

i would not pay as much attention to comments like "easy to take out 2-3 storages" or "test against th9 and lvl6 troops" as there is NO perfect base yet. You could have th9 maxed out, but golems, wiz, Pekanbaru and spells will 1-2 star it.

to the point... I only suggest moving th bit further away from arch tower and cannon, so you could get easier shields. As for now, some lover levels may skip your base to raid easier picks, thus leaving you to people like myself :)

Hm, I am referring to defense against an "extreme" Farming army, i.e lv6 barb/arch/giant, Lv5 wb/gob, dual hero and atleast 2 spells.
Who say TH9 with lv6 troops must be trophy hunting army ?
