Yes! It is an amazing update. I really like the new archer tower mechanics. Now it makes sense that you have multiple archers up there. Multiple base layouts is awesome, and so is the greater capacity of de drills. TH9 has been nerfed a bit with the introduction of level 7 giants, but was the next logical move in the evolution of the game. Hopefully we'll be getting some new dark troops soon!
It is honestly the best update since before Clan Wars.
I've been clashing for almost two years, and this is quite possibly the best update; ever.
And you can look through my 4,000 odd posts if you want - I have never said that before.
The ability to save bases is MASSIVE. One of the most requested features for two years now; that is indefinitely helpful. Never again do you have to manually swap between a trophy base and a farming base. The amount of time that will save hybrid clashers [ones who switch between chasing cups and farming] is huge.
Lv 7 Giants give TH10 an efficient, and effective storage raiding option. Lv 6 Giants work OK at TH10, but nothing like they did at TH9. I really look forward to upgrading these to try it out - on paper it looks like a nice modest boost; but enough to make them worth trying again.
Small measures to counter Barch, x2 archer towers and HP adjustments. Are all good, they will make minimal to no impact at farming levels - but will in Masters or higher. And so it should. If you spend two years getting a maxed out base it should not be getting picked off on the outside by puny tier 1 troops and losing easily.
Reversing a bad update in elixir walls to lv 9 only will help [I would have preferred lv 10] but this absolutely helps. Elixir stores were hard to find ever since the original elixir wall update; I'm confident this will improve the elixir situation - most welcome.
Shifting dark elixir drills to TH7 & TH8. While this will make almost no difference to me at TH10 [unless I find a dead, fully loaded TH8 base]. I welcome it, I recall as TH7 & TH8 dark elixir was difficult to get; and today with dark elixir troops been more common dark elixir usage will be really tight. A little relief there will be welcome; and you still get a huge increase going to TH9 by been able to take them to lv 6. [90 per hr vs 200 per hr]
Lv 12 collectors, they will take some time to really reap rewards. But in todays Clash of Clans where boosting is so common it really is overdue. Back before boosting was common, as it did once cost 25 gems for 45 mins lv 11 collectors were absolutely sufficient; but clearly not anymore. It is a simple supply & demand principle. SuperCell finally increased supply to help meet the demand. It's overdue, but better late than never!
New level display icons, live attacks & easier to see hero health bars are also very handy little additions.
Absolutely everything in this update get's a tick from me. I can see absolutely no repercussions from any of these changes either.
I have not purchased gems for a while, but I will now just because the update is spot on.
Now I just want a Christmas tree, it took me far too long last time. :p
Punish lower level players so higher levels can farm them. Then turn around and use the elixir for walls. No one else can do it anymore but high levels can. Talk about fair
