Now that level 12 is out, Supercell should force players to upgrade their collectors.

You should force me to upgrade my collectors so my builder wont get fat from slacking off :)
yes im a maxed th10 with 155 more lvl11 walls to do. At least supercell has given my builders a bit of exercise.

but that being said i had full collectors once and someone just sniped my th when i decided to break off the game for 2 days :/ strange.

SC should make collectors lv12 to be the requirement to upgrade TH to lv9

and lv11 to TH lv8

maybe not before going next th lvl... but only a little sensitive to upgrade them like a gem bonus in achievements...

5gem to get 12 collectors to lvl10
10gem to get 12 collectors to lvl11
and 20gems to get 12 collectors to lvl12

in my thaught it would be sufficient.. you can still keep them to lower lvl if you want...

but who spit on free gem?

another way to do it would be to gain 1gem per upgrade at lvl10+

Don't agree at all. 1 mill free loot a day automatically is pretty nice. Yeah it can't keep up with my farming if I wanna pull in a 10+ mill resource day but at the end of the week they've given me 7 mil. So every week they basically add one decent farming day to income.

What you have to think about is will taking your archer towers all up one more level actually save you 7 million in loot per week every week? If leveling up a defense set will not save you that every week than the collectors are the better use of build time. For me I never lose more than a 200k per week at most on defense so absolutely I'm gonna stop defense upgrades for mines and pumps

Replace sweet victory with a mine achievement or just add another one all together so players get theirs maxed alot faster.

sorry to pick this quote but no it is not silly.it is an investment. i am th10 and i have been playing since mar-2013. i think my collectors have more than paid back what they cost. also i would consider them to have paid back the build time too. eg

there have been times when i am nearly at my target for the next upgrade and my builder is nearly free. however if i did not have those collectors maxxed my builder may have been idle for a couple of hours. now, a couple of hours may not seem alot but over the course fo 21 months that could add up to quite a few hours and would morethan likely ad up to the 20 ish days that it took my builders to maxx the collectors.

all you guys that say its silly, a waste of builder time etc. i cant wait until you are th10 with only walls and heros to do. you will sure miss those lvl 12 collectors and guess what. even if you do decide to upgrade them then you will have to wait 58 days to recoupe your investment. meanwhile i will be squashing your base and taking all your resources cus you can spend a thing unless you have more than 3 mill in stores. and thats near enough to the cap for me.
