Storages should have some sort of immunity to Lightning spells..

Sorry if this has been posted before (I'm sure it has, so apologies in advance)

Who else agrees? I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm all for people taking my Dark elixir, or Gold, IF THEY EARNED IT.

But to take 1500 of my D.E just because you whipped up 3 lightning spells? Wheres the strategy in that?

All storages should have full, or atleast SOME sort of immunity from lightning spells (maybe like 30% less?).

I don't care how Supercell does it, make it fun for all I care. Maybe you have to load your storages up with a bit of DE or Elixir to cast an immunity from lightning spells? Or maybe you can have 1 last upgrade to the storages where they're now Lightning resistant?

The game is great, and these updates are great once we all get use to them. We just need the small B.S stuff like Zapping to go away.

gonna say this now, I am a pro-zapper and always will be. Zapping is legitimate because we are utilizing the raiding mechanics of the storage and the mechanics of the spell. Bypassing defenses and CC troops aside, what's the difference between zapping DE and zapping a mortar or AD to farm more elix from you? Both are unpreventable damage, but one takes less loot from the defender and the other, could potentially take more.

Well to answer your question: Very simply, more than 75% of the people who Zap me wouldn't get near my DE, even if they were to take a Mortar/other defense out. Clash of Clans is a competitive game, even if you take out a defense, it still takes troops and strategy to get whatever loot your after. But with Zapping, you can bypass all of that, and take a good chunk of loot. No strategy, no skill. That, in my opinion, should NEVER be rewarded.

I'm not against the minor Nerf that BARCH received. I think its fair. Zapping is just as uncompetitive as BARCHing

It totally takes tons of strategy to sit in low leagues and take out inactive and weak bases. At least that's what you'd have me believe, right?

Why should storages be immune..... ??

(SC allready upgraded hp on dark elixir tank, so that less gets stolen per zap)


Lightning is supposed to damage buildings or troops in a small area..... damage to storages means lost loot, the game has been like this since it started, long before DE even existed....


Have a search for all the other threads and polls, then think about having a reason, rather than whining over a few drops of DE, and asking for a change, just because you don't like it....

Not me. I don't zap DE, and with a maxed DE store zapping is pretty useless vs me now anyway.

I did have fun zapping a witch that came out of a clan castle recently. Reminded me of a Monty Python skit.

I would be more fun iff tesla's would absorb some part of the energy of a lighting spell, so that things next to the tesla are a bit protected. The more Tesla's next to it the more protection ;)

I have a hunch DE zapping will be less frequent in a month or so. I mean with town hall 7 and 8 getting a drill they wont need to resort to zapping to get loot.

1.) town hall 7's can finally raid other town hall 7's for dark elixir. or just collect it

2.) town hall 8's get another drill, adding even more dark elixir for town hall 7's, 8's, and 9's

I could be wrong, but I really think after a month we wont see another zapping thread.

Honestly this is what you would expect from a th8 who has a GG of 58 mil and. A HH of 55 k. He obviously is a bad clasher so why should his opinion be here. After getting lightninged for over 5k today it just makes you sick. I used to be ok with lightning for th7 s trying to get the bk but after this update where th7s get a drill and th8s get two it is just plain sad. It is only for those who don't know how to attack and instead hide on their shield and cook up lightning while only using their collectors for money. The poster of the quote above me should not be on here.

Good point. Most of the people who zap are TH7s who have no way of generating DE but want a king. This will likely reduce that significantly. Although it might also reduce the amount of peopke who gem thier king, so less $$$ for SC. Perhaps not the best strategy for them.

I rarely zap DE nowadays. When I am barching for gold elixir and see full DE storage or DE Drills I can not get to and I am close to finishing raiding I will quite happily get that DE through zapping. If I am DE farming I tend to only have 1 lightning spell to mainly kill CC troops. It part of the game and depending want you farming for and what with, some people will zap DE.

In 37 days in C3 mainly I have only lost 9125 DE to zapping. I see as payment for a cheap shield. Curious what league are in you to lose 5 k plus in one day and do you keep TH out for cheap shield?

You now can belittle me with my GG, EE and HH if you want.

Zapping help's keep people in the correct trophy range. Don't like getting zapped consistently, raise your trophies and get zapped every here and there. If your a TH9 or TH10 and getting zapped by several TH7's then your obviously in the wrong trophy range. Don't want to raise your trophy's because its easy to prey on lower town hall's or your base doesn't get utterly destroyed when you log-off, It come's at a price ZAPPING.

Could go the other way.... plenty of th7 and 8 will have excess elixir.... Now that everyone from th7 up will have Drills, there will be more targets to zap......

Besides, zapping is fun, the more they bicth and whine about it, the better.....


And the no skill argument is pathetic.... As a TH9, I can and often do, cook up a full miniball army, and smash any th8 with enough loot to make it worth my while... The skill required is negligible.... but apparently people prefer being smashed for everything by an op troop combo, to losing a few drops of DE to a zap or two....

I don't really have a dog in this argument, but the pro-zapping 'mechanics' argument went out the door when they decided giant bombs would do double damage to hogs. That was a mindless, arbitrary, illogical change made to deliberately weaken a single offensive tactic. Why can't lightning spells do half damage to storages? The precedent, as silly and pointless as it is, has been clearly established.

If you are getting taken for 5k then you are almost certainly making one of the two most common mistakes (and probably both of them) of not having your TH out and easily snipeable and being in a league too low for your town hall level. Every time someone nexts past a base (either because there is not enough loot to make it worth attacking or because the base is too well defended to get at least 1 star) gold is needlessly taken from the economy (since nexting costs gold). The more your base is nexted past, the greater an economic leech you are. It is extremely rare (pretty much impossibly rare) for a base that is in crystal 3 or higher with its town hall easily snipeable to lose 5k dark elixir in a day from zapping. If you are contributing to the needless destruction of gold (by not having your TH out in a league that contributes a significant amount to the economy in the form of league bonus) then having your DE zapped is exactly what you deserve.

Help the economy. Put your TH out and be in Crystal 3 or above.

Well then... Liken people have said before me, if you are getting zapped for 5k a day, maybe I'm not the one who's doing something wrong. What does GG or HH even have to do with anything on posting here? Free forums, and I'm here to stay. I raid quite competently just saying, and farm only when I need to. That's why my stats are so low. If personal attacks are your only input on this thread maybe you are the one who should get off

I'm not stupid....I have a th outside and with decorations surrounding it. I'm in high gold/low crystal and still get zapped many times each day. It is just plan sad for anyone to drop lightning on de..."If you are contributing to the needless destruction of gold" priceless XD

That would only be the case if th8=th9, but it doesn't. Stronger ths should be able to take down weaker ths easily otherwise whats the point in upgrading? That cant be related to zapping a maxed th10, unless you are telling me you can core a th10 and take de without zapping....

All people always protects the rare DE so its kinda hard to get it without good troops thats the reason to use spell.Mid level TH have much less DE resource so your idea is bad.
But,you can protect your DE by making Dark troops just keep them.

Zapping is just onne ofmthe ways lower level TH people give revenge to higher th level people with higher level troops continously raping them thats my take! Im a pro zapper �� thats my take i hate it when they zap me 2k + but i dont give a f*** half of what i have is zapped anyways �� if u cant beat em join them!

You lost me at "pro-zapper" but since I logged in to point this out I took the time to read the rest. The difference is simple: getting to the de storage protected by at least 40% of the defenses takes skill, tapping the lightning spell and the DE storage - that's something that my 2 years old brother can do.

Tbh it's not hard at all to max your DE upgrades at TH7 using troops. If you need to zap to get your DE then you really are bad at farming

Farming strategies are Barch, Dark Elixir Zap, Balloonion and so on. If you think that zapping is bad, remember how MUCH did it take to get 3 lightning spells, AND to upgrade them. That costs more than millions of resources. Also I'm a persistent guy with a TH6, so I really don't care about these dark elixir (don't have them either), so my resource were my highest priority.

If you learn how to farm, you will see that way to have the ability to have 1 mil resources, 1h straight playing the game. Unless you gem like a rich guy, you need patience.

Not hardly.

I zap when it makes sense to. Most of the time I don't, but if I see 4k+ available DE and my farming army isn't likely to make it that far, I will happily drop 4 lightnings on that tank. I'm TH9 with 39 hero upgrades left to do and 5 more DE lab upgrades left. All my non-wall elixir-based improvements will be completed in a few days (one more Dark barracks to upgrade). So the cost-benefit ratio for me is worth it. Collecting 88k in elixir is alot faster than gathering 2k DE most of the time. I hunt in C2 so 2 raids will gather 100k in elixir and 400 DE from the league bonus alone.

I also use a zap on revenges against a TH10 that I am unwilling to devote a serious build-time army to on the hopes their shield pops at just the right time. I can check my revenge list before every raid and if their tank is full I will zap it and eat the cups drop gladly...which is another reason to judiciously use a zap - it is a great fast & simultaneously beneficial way to control trophy range.

I usually find it more efficient to zap a mortar or two and demolish most of a base, but I will zap that tank if it is full enough. YMMV.

Totally legit. I check those zappers and they are mostly new th7s trying to get their king. Although i feel sad for them when they spend over 50k elixir for some de. Poor souls.

Hitting storages with lightening spells is annoying. If im attacked and loose de to raiders then I feel it's a legitimate loss. When de ( or elixer or gold) is lost to a spells only raid I feel ♥♥♥♥♥ed.

a few members of my clan have regularly complained about this tactic. It would be helpful if sc could find a way to discourage these sneak attacks.

If if you want my resources then come get them - but not with lightening only

i'm a nearly finished TH8. i've been zapped 4 times today in Gold III. 2 of those have been by TH7s and 2 have been by TH9s. i don't really care as i'll get it all back in raids. But i will revenge zap the TH9s because i think they're stupid to zap me when they can just roll me with a real army if they wanted to.
