This tends to happens almost every update. The word gets around and people who are usually inactive get on to update and play for a bit. That's my opinion but the update it's self I don't think made loot worse as I thought it was suppose to make it better.

After every addition of a new level of building or troop people start attacking a lot to get new content. Thus most of the loot will be taken and you get less than normal loot. Give it a week and everything will be back to normal and now I think it will get really better
Th 8 in g2 and my loots are good today. I find better after update, I always try to raid hard after a update. Works for me.
Loot usually takes a dip after every update. Give it 2-3 weeks to stabilize (same people to leave the game after update hype). The only thing we should worry about is how much the loot available will increase once the economy stabilizes. I expect some good things this update. It was a good changein this update. Changing UI, gameplay, taking a chance with different ideas to fix the economy instead of introducing new content.
New ew content as in new troop etc. Another level on existing buildings don't count as new content to me.***
It's always bad after the update. Always. Why gem boosts aren't mandatory after an update is beyond me. They might get more people sticking around if they think the game isn't such a grind
I have successfully ran out of gold. I was Th 9 searching all gold leagues. Guess I'll take a break from coc for a couple weeks until loot stabilizes. Can't do much in the game if I can't find loot...
Dunno. TH 8 here and I looted at least 3 million in about 2 hours. Barracks and BK were boosted, but loot was still there.
Yeah loot is normally bad the day of the update, I am currently hitting next and spent over 300k this search so far looking for any elixir, nothing so far. Most updates I just don't pick up the game for a few days but I want those giants. I recommend not playing for a few days, it's going to get better. Not worth wasting the time now.
The first hour or so immediately after an update loot is awesome, but after that once everyone get's back into the game; even casual players who see the app store update are back checking out the new content.
Players numbers peak after updates for a while; so that means less bases have mines/collectors filling up.
The post update pain will be extended this time as many lovely lv 11 pumps are going to be upgrading too.
I estimate that DE loot should drop briefly before it picks up with fuller drills and lower halls having extra drills, in 1-2 weeks DE overall will be better. Elixir may be static for now with more storages filling to offset collectors under upgrade, therefore improving quite a lot in about a month. Gold will be worse for a good 1-2 months while players are upgrading their mines.
Edit: I'm going to upgrade a mine & collector at the same time for now, just leaving 3 other builders to keep busy. I think I'll take it easy over Christmas until this update kicks in and everyone is back off Christmas holidays. Then loot should be at it's best for a long time after that.

I am having the hardest time finding loot right now. Before the update i was getting 300k loot on average but i have spent at lest 200k skipping and haven't found a single base over 150k. If anyone else is having this problem reply please.

Everytime there is a new update, old players get back on and clash for a little while! Wait a week or two or go heavy elixir strategies for storage raids! I'm currently using balloonian!

theres always bad loot right after updates cause people spend all of their resources on the new buildings/upgrades

As was mentioned there is always bad loot after an update and it usually lasts for 2 to 4 weeks. This update is going to hit really hard in the short term as most people will be updating their collectors.
If you really wanna get those walls to get th10 that bad, just go.Quote:

I don't see why people complain, top 2 are in about 15 min time and the bottom is one I did during work nexting less than 2 minutes. It's not bad, the complainers just don't know how to attack.

Be patient the update has been out for some hours.
There is always a hangover of loot after a update. Like many said just give it a week and things will go back to normal. Everyone is upgrading the new thing and staying online more at the moment. :(
You're fairly high level, you should know by now that loot gets worse for the first days after an update since inactive people start to play again to try the update.
