Question about obstacles and trees.

I currently have 28 Large trees, a 2013 Christmas tree, and a Halloween Headstone. 40 obstacles is the limit from what the Wiki says

1. Does the 40 limit count for Large Trees also, since they are 3x3?
2. If i have 40 trees, will gem boxes and Christmas trees still spawn?

If that is the case then would it be possible for someone to have 40 pine trees, 5 Christmas trees, and 3 headstones?

1. Yes.
2. There was a discussion previously regarding gem boxes. It seems like they might. In the past christmas trees would not.

you can have 40 obstacles at once, x-mas trees headstones and gem boxes included, and you have a 5% chance of getting an x-mas tree or a gem box
