What is the problem? The new archer tower update as ruined archers to be honest, yet they still have an extortinate upgrade cost? If you don't like them and they are too good by all means do the archer tower thing but please the upgrade isnt really worth it anymore.
They're so against it they only just released lv7 variants of them.
Archers and barbs are still good but just not as meat shields.
Honestly, stop complaining. Enjoy the update or just don't play at all. I don't have a problem with the new archer tower change. I farmed like a peasant during Gold Rush. <3

SC never intended the game to be all about the two basic troops in the game, hence all the Barch Nerfs. The game was supposed to be exciting and bigger tier armies. Now that the Elix wall update was bumped to lvl9+ walls, More Ths will have lix available to cook bigger armies and thus raid with bigger badder armies
Because the structure of the game favoured 'Barch', and most players were using the strategy for almost all attacks. I do not think the game was intended to be played with archers and barbarians exclusively, and make those other units irrelevant outside of war.
It now encourages variety, people should expend on their attack strategies. More importantly, if people are willing to penetrate bases instead of TH snipping or looking for collector raids, there will be less complaints about loot on the forums as people will work for it.
