Holiday Decorations & Their Spawning

Mine luckily spawned on edge. I'm going to remove my odd ball tombstone and keep the other.

I don't know what you mean by "Its not about the 'Special Item Count'." I was questioning whether having limited space, only on the periphery, will reduce the number of Christmas tree today. I don't know the answer and I definitely wouldn't rely on speculations made a year ago on a different topic. It doesn't feel that I was affected during the last holiday spawn event due to having limited space and I hope that's not the case with Christmas trees either.

Ah, well I was unaware that he was recently promoted to a mod. About the special item count. A special item show's up randomly in place of what would of been an obstacle, So creating your base like this and having 3 or 4 show up could be just luck(your obstacle slot machine rolled jackpot more then usual). Its about how many obstacles actually show up per day(once every 8h is the going rate). If you only get 1 per day then in fact it is still the same and you would have less of a chance to get an obstacle.

I hear guys who had bases in and got 4 on the edge which I feel is way too lucky. I also have seen many with 4-5 tombstones but all over the place. You may get less, but I am OCD and it NEEDS to be on edge so I run the risk of getting less, but will spawn in the right spot.

And low and behold I got 1 in the smack right in the corner :)
