Have a troop that diggs underground knocking out all walls between where you drop it and the town hall or maybe clan castle. Since it is underground most defensives can't target it. Downside it moves real slowly and may be expensive.

Sounds super broken, what CAN stop it? Nothing. Then just deploy a lot of them and they'd be overpowered if money's no object.
It could be balanced by size take up in camp and the fact they only destroy walls. If you have too many of them what good are the holes in the walls if there is nothing to follow. Also make them relatively slow. You only have three minutes in an attack. If you drop them too far out they don't do any good. Sort of like a super wall breaker to counter the crazy strong walls at lvl 10 town halls. Encourages looser spread out bases and strong defensive buildings. Weak cannon and archer towers can't hide behind strong walls. When they get to TH they could spawn a set number of barbarians.

I like your idea but then they shold make a defence for under ground because that would be pointless if it can attack anything but nothing can attack it

rethink this a lot, A) valid points true but speed should be around 5 at most
B) Splash damage affects underground too
C) all traps affect them
D) 20 camp space
E) 1 hp
I understand the argument of wb but lets be honest, they are strategic but are kinda annoying. These guys can survive unlike wb's. That is their main benefit. If this idea picked up steam it could get far better. Still, the animations behind an underground troop, and how fast it'd be able the go under ground, where e you could drop it, all this is controversial. This above is what i think it should be IF implemented, ut personally i disagree with this idea.
Speed wise I was thinking about half the speed of a giant, maybe a little more. 6-8 I guess.
i could see splash damage effecting them but not them being able to be targeted by defenses.
bomb trap damage I could also agree with.
1 hp. Nah way to weak for camp size. More like 100 hp. Where a big bomb could take them out one shot but not one mortar shot.
♥♥♥♥ I had the same idea for a new troop two weeks ago but I didn't post it because it's not from the medieval times. So instead I made post about another troop that goes underground called the Reaper which is closer to the medieval times.
how about making it unbroken by making it a kind of weak troop in the sense of its defense and it can only be targeted when it starts destroying walls.
