Im a mid / high level player - currently at L96, TH9. I have 8m elixir in my stores and only have the Heal spell to L5 and the rage spell to L5 left to upgrade...
So, elixir is almost useless as far as im concerned. Can I have some more upgrades please - L6 goblins for a start and I'd like a L8 camp!

I like having full elixirs, for those rainy days :) But I wouldn't mind having those toys your talking about either.

This issue comes up a lot, as the forum posters tend to be predominantly farmers, raiding sub2k.
But, to be fair to the trophy chasers, using heavy troops (pekkas, drags, etc)... elixir is a problem for them. Personally, I find the game balanced pretty fairly. Have some excess elixir? Pop up and blow some bases to smithereens with dragons/pekkas/war balloons...
You'll run out of elixir pretty fast, drop back down, and farm. The benefit of going up and down like that... is if you are feeling really malicious, you can revenge someone from 2600 trophy when you are back down to 1800, and take a lot of cups from them.

Anyway, with the dark elixir storage, drill, and barracks, they've added a lot of elixir projects recently.
Stop farming -- and play the game the way it's supposed to be -- and you'll be so light on elixer, from building expensive armies, that you'll have to Gem the stuff... Just like Jorge Yao. :cool:
I agree that if you have maxed everything that needs elixir then you shouldn't be having this problem...DE drills alone are 8 million each. If you still have excess over extended periods of time you should really stop farming and go trophy hunting where running out of elixir is a common problem. That and donate more of the good stuff. Donate 20 dragons and a few pekkas and that easily takes care of the problem fast.
You, my friend, have a farmers syndrome :) Start chasing trophies and problem will be resolved. You will have excessive gold and virtually no elixir left.Quote:

Ok - so I do donate PEKKAs (L3 of course) quite regularly, my clan can confirm. But spending elixir on stuff I dont need is not a solution to this problem.
Here is the situation.
- I value gold more than i value trophies. I'm working on L9 walls BUT still need c. 900k gold to max my walls
- I will therefore not go hunting trophies because despite the bonus (lol) gold (per hour) is rubbish the higher up you go and frankly, the game got boring due to reduced fights, increased wait times and reduced loot.
- If this means I am playing the game incorrectly, so be it - it will not force me to reduce my gold intake in order to reduce my elixir stores - that sounds kind of stupid to me :confused:
- If raising my trophy level truly meant I could make more gold per hour, then I would do it. That is a challenge that I think SC need to address. Leagues are a nice idea, but they are not implemented in such a way that gold is aligned to trophy level - not truly given we can still make much more at lower levels...
