The real reason for the preparation day is the fact that not everyone in the clan stays in the same timezone. Some may have to prepare well in advance, while some can prepare right before the war.

Exact same strategy I plan on using in my clan. Rather than give them 48 hours to check bases out give them 24. End of the day at very least we force attackers who were planning to hit in early hours of war and had armies trained to rethink their army or go in as is. I think prep day should be shorter and have always thought this. Seriously.....24 hours to fill clan castles? Cut it out. Literally.

We've usually got all the war castles filled within 30 minutes of the start of prep day. Rest of the time is usually for deciding who will attack which base. This won't be possible once everyone wises up to switching to a dummy layout for prep day, but it'll be easy stars on war day against the players that forget to revert back from comedy prep day layouts ;)
the 24 hours isnt just for filling cc's. keep in mind this is a global game. the 24 hours allows for clans that have members in different time zones to coordinate.
to coordinate what? after a short time there will be only dummy bases on the prep day, and you will need to to coordinate on the battle dayQuote:
