Despite been tired I clashed for over an hour last night; one as typically loot is better for a little while after a long break - and of course to try it out.
I am still using BAM [as I won't try Giants until lv 7 upgrade is done obviously]. And no doubt Barch feels different Arch Towers shooting faster and many inanimate buildings with different HP. I'm still having success with it in Crystal but does feel a little foreign at the moment; will take some minor adjusting. Which is fine, evolution is good.

Will take time to see if the economy changes really benefit, was hoping lv 12 pumps would generate 4,000 per hr. But an improvement will help. Fact is if a TH10 maxed all pumps they will get 84,000 gold & elixir extra per day. Handy, but in terms of passive income won't change much.
But of course, this collectively generating at every base should boost the economy which is it's primary goal.
Happy so far, and believe it should get even better in time.

I haven't read any replies yet, so sorry if this is redundant, but so far I have yet to find a complaint. I love the dark elixir increases and the fact that I can add a second drill at th8. I like the level icons for troops, even though it took some getting used to at first. The changes to the splash screen are always entertaining for my kids, and the snow is a nice touch without getting too much in the way. I like the hero health bar because it is much easier than trying to track my hero and then see his health among the destruction.
I was looking forward to using some elixir to upgrade walls after I was done in the lab, but I understand the change and hope it helps with raid loot.
I also love the bad connection icon that comes up before it kills the raid. I have a dead spot in my house, and it has been the cause of me wanting to throw my iPad several times in the past when I lost connection and failed some raids that I had 1-2 starred before it closed and killed off my troops.
It may have been fixed by now, but when I got on this morning right after the update, the old tip about dark elixir storages being available at level 7 but the drill at level 8 displayed.
Ability to edit war base while not at war with new base editor
Didn't expect this feature since you couldn't previously edit your war base outside of prep day, but I love that we can now fix upgraded wall placements and drop new buildings whenever. This is going to be really useful right after a town hall upgrade when you have several new walls and buildings to rearrange.
The faster archer towers also plowed down an early morning barch attack on me quite well. The half strength arrows were the extra teeth that a mortar or cannon blast needed to take out several troops.
The layout editor is great, it was long overdue, it allows me to try other bases and if I don't like it, I don't need to waste time changing it back.
Level 12 mines and collectors were also needed, this will help offset some of the costs of re-arming traps.
For the camps, it is really necessary to lower the hitpoints that much? I mean seriously?? a max level camp is now weaker than a level 1 goldmine????
Elixir wall upgrade for level 9+ walls, is welcomed but I would think its better at level 10+
