This is how the poll worked out: 66% of people who voted are TH9 and TH10, still having the ability to upgrade walls with elixir. Whereas 33% of people are TH8 and lower who having once had the ability, then had to suffer it being taken away.

The poll sucks, the vast majority of TH7 or TH8 would rather be able to upgrade walls with elixir, and I also reckon there would be more people complaining about it's removal if the ability was also taken away from TH9/10.

The argument from the people who agree with the removal of this ability from TH7/8's seems to be that there will not be enough elixir around in storages to raid... This is a pathetic argument mainly put forward by people who are quite glad to be able to use the elixir for walls themselves, but would rather that people of lower levels were just there to store up elixir for them to raid.

The truth is that the whole pricing structure for walls is bogus, especially when troops can jump or fly over them LOL
The whole thing needs looking at again, it's a ♥♥♥♥ up!

I love the new elixir wall setup. I'm up to 90 legos so far this month, and the town hall 8's supply me elixir wonderfully :D

Where on earth did you get the demographics from or did you pull it out your ♥♥♥ like the rest of your argument?
Walls are supposed to be the end-game grind, its up to you if you want to do them or not, if they are too expensive for you simply don't, other people are doing them however so there is no justification for a reduction in price.

I love the post-winter break update. Using solely balloonian and losing 1/4 of my matches due to an xbow glitch is sweet, I mean it! I absolutely love it.

Got my Level 8 walls done in 1 month time (Gold only). Like that walls are more difficult to get now....kind of a badge of honor.
