I'm absolutely loving it! the new dark drills. higher level collectors and all that.
But, not being able to upgrade walls with elixir till lvl 9? REALLY? At least make it from lvl 7 to 8 because thats where the ridiculous jump in price happens.
Can't stand the snow. Very distracting and annoying. Make it stop. Or at least give us an option to turn it off next year.
Regarding the wall/elixir issue - before the first walls-for-elixir update, I was up to my ears in elixir. Gold was the problem. Over the last couple months, I didn't see the loot problem get worse. I was able to raid for resources just as I did before. I'm disappointed that this feature was taken away from us because I recently went up to TH9 and I've been concentrating on expensive elixir-based upgrades first (dumping gold into the cheap gold upgrades), knowing that when I concentrate on expensive gold-based upgrades later, I can dump excess elixir into my lvl 7 & 8 walls. Now my plan has been thwarted and I'm going to be up to my ears in elixir again.
Regarding the level 12 pumps - I was very excited about them because I've been waiting for them for quite a while. However, I did some math, and now I'm disappointed. When I'm raiding, on a good day I gain 1 M of each resource in an hour, on a bad day it takes 2 hours. Upgrading 12 pumps from 11 to 12 will yield an additional 72 k of each resource per day - which means it takes about 2 weeks to gain an additional 1 M. So I'm only going to save 1-2 hours of my precious time every 2 weeks with these new pumps? After investing 60 builder-days to upgrade them all? Disappointing.
Wanna solve the so-called loot problem? Make the pumps generate more loot per hour. Give people more incentive to upgrade them.
Archers! I don't know exactly how I feel about this one yet, but it definitely seems like my looting armies have been getting killed off faster and I'm having a harder time getting to 50%. It could also be the fact that you increased the hit points on many of the buildings.
I can't be completely negative, so I'll at least say that the lower hit points on army camps is very helpful (but trumped by the higher HP on the other buildings!)
LOVE the hero icon at bottom having health bar on, sooooo much easier now as can keep track on them even when king wanders off!! :-)
Perfect.
Don't listen to those who are crying about the elixer walls. Everyone who understands the game was begging for this change from day one of the original elixer walls update. Amazing job guys
The archer towers look way better than before and the seccond dark elexir drill is great for my townhall 8 base. I think that you guys/girls should add a feature where you can train troops and have them try and defend your base.
Thanks

I like most of the update. However it sucked when I realized that I could no longer upgrade my walls with elixir. I only just started to upgrade them with elixir and suddenly I can't anymore? Now walls will take twice as long to upgrade. However, maybe the extra loot from lvl 12 mines and collectors and the modifications to the dark elixir will counter this. I understand that this was removed so that people could find more elixir in raids, but now walls are just way too hard to upgrade. Maybe even just reducing the cost of upgrading walls would help? If anyone thinks this is a bad idea, please share your reason why, and no "suck it up princess" comments or anything rude please. Thanks! :)
For the king/queen health bar, I thought that it was going to flash on the actual battle field. I think that would have been more helpful.
And the troop level numbers in bold looks busy....especially when combined with the number of troops right below (x3). For the stars/tallies, the only thing that was hard to see was the witch sometimes when you were on your phone. Other than that it was fine
Anoushka Quotation:
In this update we changed our Player Support software and since it it allows you to attach screenshots to your message, it needs to ask access to your photos.
On iOS this access is only requested if you try to upload a picture but on Android it asks as soon as you load the game for the first time after the implementation of the Support platform

This is completely and utterly ridiculous. This is a video game. I have financially sensitive information on my password enabled tablet. Tax returns, bank account information, copies of checks, account summaries etc... There is nothing stopping supercell from accessing and using your media information for anything it wants. I for one do not trust this company with access to my files. Not even my bank apps ask for this kind of permission. This is unbelievable. Who at supercell decided this was acceptable? Is supercell prepared to secure my financial information in the case of any security breach?
I cannot not believe people do not read the small print in this update. This is a very BIG deal...
