Has this always been a problem?

I was watching a war replay and saw a barb king and troops stop their attack for skeleton troops. But the kicker was that they walked right passed the skeletons and went to where the coffin opened. Once they realized the skeletons were no longer there, they proceeded to return to their original place they were attacking.

This is very odd because not only did they make the trip to the coffin but once there, they ignored the tesla next to it and proceeded to return to the exact spot they were attacking before the trap sprung.

If this is the norm... I know where I'll be placing my giant bombs from now on.
