I'm currently level 86, TH9, mostly level 7 walls (60 or so skulls), and good defenses (not maxed), and good troops (some level 6 but not maxed)...
Lets be honest I'm in college and I'm not going to be playing clash all my life, and I'm getting bored. I just want to do some raids with the best available army, and get deep into masters before I quit because that sounds fun.
Whys that so frowned upon?
The lower your town hall the easier it is to loot. Loot penalties exist so as a TH9 you can hit TH8-9 all day for good loot. With 10 you have to hit 9-10 for decent loot and the 9's have xbows and 10's have infernos. You have ok defence to survive the jump up but be warned it will take you a lot longer to max your base because you have to attack harder bases to make resources for upgrades.
I should also add that well developed TH10's will make mince meat of your base also for large amounts of loot on defence because you will be profitable to them and have weak defence.
Its probably frowned on here on the forums --- but plenty of others do it ---- chrystal is littered with rushed bases ......
Suit yourself -- you obviously know the pros and cons, and seem happy with the end goal you have set yourself.

It is "frowned" upon by players with vastly different goals than yours. If you just want to play casually going to TH10 is great. Infernos mean you won't be farmed yourself, and you get higher passive resource production.Quote:

It is bad because you will be weak for your level, it will alter clan war matches, and farming will be awful because of low lvl troops. It doesn't seem too bad if you rush your th to level 10 from th9, but I don't recommend it.
Upgrading now will make your th a bit rushed.
Rushing isn't frowned upon...attackers love attacking rushed bases...
If thats ur way of having fun, why do sare about people frowning, its ur village, play it the way u want it, if some players suggest u to max ur Th, it is bcos that is the best way to play and be strong, in my opinion too. They r just suggestions, the choice is always urs.
Well the problem with rushing is the lab upgrades take forever and you can't really do the "pro raids" without good heroes.
I don't frown upon it, but you kind of need to gem a lot, if you do rush.
It's mainly only frowned upon by the more serious players. In reality, the majority of bases I actually see in the game are rushed. It's all about what you want in the game. If it's to be a serious, efficient player, then don't rush. Also, if it's about image and what other people think of you, then don't rush. But if it's about simply having fun and unlocking new content while still being a casual player and not putting too much hard work into it (and you don't mind dropping some big money on gems), then by all means, rush rush rush :cool:Quote:

I sure do! I rushed to TH9 to get the AQ and to get L7 wizards! Sadly I found out after i started my upgarde that L7 wizards arent til th10! Lol now im close to maxing as a th9 other than heroes and walls and will probably upgrade to 10 once I get my collectors to L12..
I think there are a variety of factors. One is that some players have too high of an opinion of themselves and just can't acknowledge that the way they did things is not the only way or the only "right" way. Another is that some players are just jealous when they see someone who has attained what they couldn't, couldn't bear to try, or for which they suffered needlessly in attaining. I also think there are probably a good number of people who have grown tired of the endless complaining about loot from players who went against conventional wisdom, upgraded early, and are ultimately responsible for their own circumstances.Quote:

Of course it's still rushing. What other motivation would there be, other than to get the new stuff?
Progression in this game is faster, if you max first, due to the loot penalty.
Loot has never been a problem for me really, over 200M gold grab now....
It's not so much frowned upon, more like people advice against it because it becomes very very hard to develop a rushed base.
New and more expensive upgrades coupled with less lot available to raid means it becomes a pain to progress.
A rushed th10 could easily take 2 years to get to th10 standards.

From my experience so far is you stay at least in master3 as th10 you will have no problem finding bases with 200k+ plus of at least one resource, and 1-3k+ de. Not even counting the 200k/500de combined bonus.Quote:

If you rush your base then you will be forced to farm at crystal league and below and you won't find much loot. Those leagues are for lower ths.

I have found that farming at th10 is "easier" because build times a very long, giving you more than enough time to fill your storages with semi casual play. As long as a manage my builders correctly Ive been doing very good. Takes me about 4-5 days to fill storages.
Some want max bases some want to just progress on the game. Do what makes you happy. This game was made for us to enjoy :)
