Need help with GoWiPe

Ok so I heard GoWiPe is one of the most powerful army compositions for th8. I tried it out and I usually barely get 1 star and 2 stars is rare. Never gotten 3 stars with GoWiPe yet. If I never used rage spells I would never get even 1 star. Here is my army comp:
3 lvl 1 PEKKAs
12 lvl 5 wizards
8 lvl 4 wall breakers
12 lvl 5 Giants (instead of 2 golems)
1 lvl 5 archer to fill up last spot
1 lvl 4 heal spell for giants
2 lvl 4 rage spells (I seriously depend on these)
BK lvl 3 (soon to be 4 :D)
cc troops to pick off outside buildings if my attack is worse than I thought it would be

how I do it:
deploy all Giants as distractions. Deploy some WBs after mortar has fired.
After Giants have gone in a bit deploy PEKKAs and wiz. Deploy more wb as needed.
Heal giants (they are probably half dead by now). Deploy BK, and CC troops if needed.
Drop rage spells if needed.

Am I doing anything wrong?
some problems I have suspected:
WB, PEKKA, and spells too low level (trying to save up for their upgrades)
golems are better than Giants
deploying PEKKAs too early (they go around the side sometimes)
deploying troops in troops in the wrong order

any tips?

Update: thanks for your help guys, no need to post any more replies.

I'd suggest deploy giants, WB's, a few wizards (4 or 5) to clear a path for the pekkas to get into the core/TH area, and then drop the rest of the wizards along with the cc filled with extra wizards and use spells early, especially rage to get through a wall since WB's will go sideways. I'd either carry 2 heals 1 rage or 2 rage 1 heal, but practice using spells so they benefit as many troops as possible.

Its not a gowipe if u using giants. GIANTS DIE WAY WAY FASTER THAN GOLEMS. GLLEMS R TANKS AND CAN BEATING FOR A LONG TIME GIANTS CANNOT. I guess thats why u cant get 3 stars. 😊

I bring a heal spell for them and they usually last the entire battle (and they are faster, have more dps, and they have nice health so I think it is pretty balanced) I keep them fairly spaced out so splash damage won't affect them too much.
Also I am saving dark elixir for my BK.

Level one golem has 4500 HP
Level five giants have 670 HP

Golems take up 30 Spacing
Giants take up 5 Spacing

6 x 670 = 4020 HP vs 4500 HP, but keep in mind that Golems don't get insta'd by spring traps, and that is a huge advantage, as a lot of people try to use defenses that funnel troops into them.

Keep in mind that the whole point of a GOWIPE is to use your golems as TANKS and break through the center to the TH, not to be "faster with more dps".

The reason you are not doing well is because you aren't gowiping, at all. If you aren't going to use golems, I suggest not even using pekkas lol. I use a mix of Giants/Wizards/Archers/Wallbreakers with 2 Heals+1 Rage, and I 2star most people I hit, as I currently save up towards the GOWIPE on my newly leveled TH8, but my brother is a max TH8 and I watch him as he GOWIPES.

Level 5+ BK is also useful for gowiping, another important, but not crucial part.. As the BK + Pekkas job is to take out the TH, the BK's rage ability is useful.

Keep in mind you are running a very low level gowipe so you need to pick you base properly. Gowipe is a sure 2 star strategy but it does take skill if you want to 3 star.

First off you need the correct troop comp. you can not run giants in gowipe. They tend to travel in heards and splash damage does a number on them. You should not waste a heal on them, your wizards are more important. Do you have golem unlocked? If not i would not recommend gowipe until you do. troop comp should be as follows:

2 Golem
3 pekka(get your cc upgraded asap so you can get a max pekka in cc)
8-12 WB, (i generally used 8 as a TH8)
rest wizards(should be about 17)
There is no need for any other troops

your spell comp looks fine. Keep in mind that your BK is also low level. When you unlock his ability it will help greatly.

general strategy:
your golems are your tanks. Place them strategically where they will draw the most attention(remember, as soon as a defense locks onto them they must remain locked until he breaks). Your wizards are your DPS troop, you must protect them at all cost. Their splash damage is very important in taking out cc troops. Your pekkas are kind of a mix. They have high HP and high DPS but they are single target troops.

When you drops troops start with golems and spread them as far apart as you can and still draw fire from the defenses around. DO NOT BLOW WALLS YET. this allows you to drop your wizards. This is the most important part of gowipe. The last thing you want to see is your pekka walking around outside the walls. When you drop your wizards you need to have patients. DO NOT SPAM YOUR WIZARDS, this leads to them wandering off into wild fire. Strategically place one wizard on the two obstacle furthest outside that will not draw fire. Let them work for a few seconds. When the two outside obstacles are removed it creates a barrier and forces the pekka inside as those become the closest obstacle. At this point you can slowly start to spread your wizards and then drop hero and pekka. blow your golems in at this time and then blow the center for your pekka to enter.

I always use the cc to my advantage. cc troops draw your non defensive targeting troops to them, meaning if done correctly you can use the cc to draw your troops into the core of a base. I always attack away from the cc so that i can control when and where i trigger the release from. This way i can have my hero, pekka and wizards in place. I typically rage and heal through the cc troops then rage the core.

It is a crazy stratagey when first starting out. There is a lot that goes on in the beginning, but if you allow your golems to tank for you you can take your time and get everything set right. If you start to scramble then the proverbial ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan.

One cannot do a gowipe with giants...

you are also forgetting the 1100 HP for each of the two golemites that he breaks into. so that is 11,200HP to the giants 8,040

Thx for your help everyone...looks like Giants are the culprit here (and deploying all my troops in one area. Learned this from watching my clanmates' war replays). I figured my BK was low so I started farming for DE. Until it is lvl 5 I will use another attack strategy;).

Im a th8 gowiper as well. Use golem instead of giant. First heal and rage just before your golem counter with CC, and make sure wizard are behind your golem. You need to be careful while deploying pekka. You have to make sure there nothing outside so your pekka can go straight into core.

Lastly use 5 level 6 balloon in your CC after all 3 air defence wiped out. This will greatly help to clear all of point defence.

Key factor in th8 gowipe is to make sure pekka go straight into core. Aim to take out splash damage before heal spell run out.
