lvl 7 GIANTS + more about the winter update

hey all , the winter update will be out very soon and some sneak peeks have been released by clash of clans about this update . the sneak peeks released till now are below - what are your views on this update ? comment below -

1) LVL 7 GIANTS - yes , a new lvl of giants will be there after this update , in the last update lvl 7 barbs and archers were introduced and now lvl 7 giants . lvl 7 giants are gonna be really good with a more long lasting health and capability of wrecking the defences faster and in lesser time + capability to survive more defences

2) Save multiple layouts - now you can save layouts including war base layouts anytime and edit them anytime too .

3) 2x arrows - now , the archer towers are gonna shoot twice the more arrows than before but each one of them will do half the damage now

4) New Collector Level - new collector level will be there after this update . lvl 12 collectors :)

Introducing the Layout Editor
✔ Save multiple layouts for both your home Village and your War Base!
✔ Switch between layouts easily at any time
✔ Make copies of existing layouts or build new layouts from scratch
✔ Edit inactive layouts at any time - you can even take a break and finish later!

New goodies
✔ Level 12 Gold Mines and Elixir Collectors at Town Hall 8!
✔ Level 7 Giants are stomping into Town Hall 10
✔ Compare your clan to others in clan local leaderboards!

Other improvements
✔ Under attack? You can now watch a live replay while waiting to load your Village!
✔ Hero ability icons now show remaining hitpoints and will start flashing when low - use their ability to recover some HP!
✔ Resume boost button now shows how much time is remaining for the boost
✔ Improved level display for troops/heroes/spells
✔ Pending join requests are now limited to 10 per clan to prevent spamming (additional join requests cannot be sent)

Economy balancing
✔ Upgrading Walls with Elixir is now available only when upgrading to Wall level 9 and higher
✔ The first Dark Elixir Drill is now available at Town Hall 7
✔ The second Dark Elixir Drill is now available at Town Hall 8
✔ Dark Elixir Drill maximum capacity has been increased on all levels

Combat balancing
✔ Archer Towers now shoot twice as fast to better take down weak hordes (total damage remains unchanged)
✔ Inferno Towers now shoot for a longer time before getting depleted (loading cost remains the same)
✔ Army camps have heavily decreased hitpoints - no more stubborn campfires!
✔ Cannons, Barracks, Laboratory, Spell Factory and Dark Elixir Drills have higher HP on almost all levels
✔ Hitpoint values have been adjusted slightly for many other buildings
✔ Lava Pup HP has been slightly decreased

So far I like saving multiple layouts the best. Lvl7 Giants will prob be for th10 so doesn't affect me (th9). Hopefully, there will be some more updates. Nothing too earth shattering thus far, so I rate it 5 out of 10.

Honestly I think that level 7 Giants will affect TH9 the most. We're the ones that will be getting pounded by them!

Just a note - level 5 golems are 210 hp per housing space. Giants will *now* be 220 hp. Expect your bases to get pounded by level 7 giants on a daily basis.

SC have made it easier for players like me (TH10) to farm players like you(TH9), so yes you will be affected by it.
All we need now is lvl7 balloons

Now lvl7 loons would be nice ----- I'd jump to Th10 now, just for those ......


I think the update is ok so far -- As a TH9, we should be hoovering up more loot from those pesky TH8's ...... Just need to hope my builders can turn it into lego, before those moody lvl7 giants come pounding on my walls .......:cool:

294 hp per housing space including 2 golemites at 1260hp each

Its a good update, snow, santa surprise, presents, new lvl collectors, new lvl troop (giant), and ability to save layouts for ur village. Awesome 😊

1) Level 7 giants, aweomes oh yes! But strangely mainly because they have beards, which makes no sense but I still love it. Realistically good but not a massive upgrade so nothing big to worry about.

2) Save multiple layouts, if you don't like this...who cares!

3) Kind of makes sense. In real terms a bad archer could hit a big unit hard so logic follows small units would take less time to target so fire fast with less power but big units slower with less power...I like logic. Not sure if this will affect it but it could also make barcher raids harder to carry out. Incidently I'm a big barcher fan but if it was made null n void the game could become really interesting.

4) New collectors level, why not!

The only thing that pisses me off is the removal of elixir for 7 and 8 level walls. All the people who agree with it are those who finished their walls with elixir or the old school people.

Snipers hitting bordered collectors and mines should be smiling right now. And the comment about elixir and walls....don't know if you've noticed, but there ain't that much elixir out thete since they allowed it for walls. Besides, you'll need it to upgrade to the new levels...

I LOVE getting that second DE drill as an 8!!

Overall, nice upgrade...brings elixir back for lower THs and brings more DE into the mix. Though those preemie and unskilled TH9 players will gloat and play more at the lower leagues even more with DE drills coming to 7s.

I liked all the last 2-3 updates released , even this update is great for th10s ;)

That's a great update! Everything is going to village to upgrade faster than berfore!

It's curious the change in the wall level minimum to use elixir for upgrade

I really like the upgrade, especially the archer tower update (2x faster, 2x weaker per shot, same dps). This should have implications for farming- you can't just spawn tons of tier 1 troops and expect them to last as long. This also means that I now have more of an incentive for upgrading my archer towers before cannons. They're still equal dps-wise, but archer towers are faster+defend against air troops.

I'm still TH 8, but I think I'll be hunkering down a bit more before TH9, especially with lv 7 giants coming to TH10s and the opportunity to upgrade my mines/collectors one more level in the meantime.

How can you turn back an update :S :S wall upping spirit went down the drain.

New DE drill. Good!
I mostly don't rely on the drill to get my DE, but this is good new, since more DE will be available for my raids :)
And with the removal of ability to use elixir for wall at level 7 and 8, then, the most desirable resource for me is back at gold. My elixir storage will get full quickly and my clan mates will be happy to receive dragons from me.

if the new archer towers are making you not be able to farm, i suggest trying a different game...

ehhhh. Next update - make the wizards fire twice as fast with 1/2 the damage....then we won't be upset as we watch them getting picked off as they take 30 minutes to pull back and unleash a fireball.



What I want to know is why they swapped the Goblin and Giant in the barracks and lab?

Still haven't been able to figure out how to compare clan to the leaderboard.

Give us the list of changed HP on the buildings. Camps have become glorified builder huts, at a much larger 5x5 footprint. Changing the HP most certainly affects how we design our bases.

Great, I was upgrading walls using elixir. Now I'll have tons of it and no gold. That stinks worse than my nephew's feet.
