Clan password?

I had this idea when our clan had members that wanted to 'hop' around for various reasons.

I would like to suggest a clan password that would allow a player to join a clan when it is 'invite only'.

This would require a 'Invite / password' option in the clan description but it would allow those returning members to re-join the clan without waiting for someone in the clan accepting them.

This would also be quite useful if you have a feeder clan. Members from one clan could hop over to the other clan without the need to be accepted. Each clan could keep their level at "Invite / Password" allowing new members to request while existing members could move between clans with relative ease.

What do you think???

I think this is a wonderful idea! It saves a lot of problems and drama. My opposition would argue that active clans wouldn't need it but I retort that if your time zones are vastly different, it does matter

It would be handy. I agree.

But what is the access to change the password? Leader only? There are likely a few details that need to be ironed out to make it a complete suggestion. The concept is good though.

I think this would be good! Only the leader should be able to change the password

I think for most active clans, this shouldn't be necessary as someone with status will be online shortly or immediately to accept your request.

All it takes is for a troll to spam your clan password in global chat and then your "invite only" clan suddently becomes an "anyone can join clan" and this will be such a pain. Then the leader changes the password, then next week it happens again. Just a big headache that should be avoided.

It does sound like a good idea but it could create problems for high clans. If someone in the clan shares the password with their friend, that friend could give the password out online and then the clan has hundreds of people joining. But I'm sure it could work for lower clans that don't have much attention drawn to them.

Why complicate something that is so simple , they request, u like or dont li,e accept or dont accept, i dont see any reason to put a password there.

agree. It sounds nice, but may not work well for other clans
