So... Someone said this.

Someone said Supercell is making the game unfair for town hall 9s and 10s because we had to struggle to get de in our th7 days. We did struggle, but we got it done, if any of you can remember what a level 1 drill does (20 de per hour) thats NOTHING. It really doesn't help, its just nice to have.

Clashers seem to forget that as town hall 9s and 10s we can take as much loot as we want from town hall 8s or townhall 7s. The defense just can't take our troops and our superior heros. In my opinion, this will help townhall 9s and 10s so much more than townhall 8s. It just puts another easy to hit target on the lower town halls backs. 9s and 10s, don't fuss about the new level of collectors, or the addition of a drill to lower town halls, its more for us to take. :D
Plus, lower townhalls need all the help they can get :rolleyes:

This is part of the concept of first adapters.

First adapters always pay more and have to put much more effort. Those that are patient usually gets the best deals.

This is no different then regular aspects of life. Things get cheaper and easier. You deal with it rather than be bitter towards those that are able to benefit from the changes.

The only way raiding a town hall 7 would allow even me as a town hall 9 to break even is if their storages, collectors, and clan castle were full. Now image that as a town hall 10. Also, TH7 can get a lv3 drill, which produces 1,080 DE a day. They can get their BK in less than 2 weeks without even raiding. As far as the rest of the update goes, it actually looks pretty promising. Minus the archer tower thing, that's gonna buff the archer tower a lot against barch, GoWiWi, etc. I thought that's why we had xbows, seriously?! </rant>

Th7 can raid Th7 for DE now.

It's trickle up economics my friend. The TH7's get some DE, the TH8's take it plus get even more, the TH9's take if from the TH8's who should be almost swimming in the stuff, the TH10s take it from the TH9's.

I'm liking the economy changes, a lot!

I don't like the rapid fire AT thing. Defenses don't need more of a boost IMHO but I guess SC want's to continue their crusade against Barching.

- no need to worry in wars. I just drop 10 level 2 dragons and kill even th8

- we dont have so much units so we dont need badly dark elixir. Our best is hog 2 and minion 2

- yes th8+ crush us, but even loot is never worse, I can easy find them. With easy mean.... not so hard.

- I hard find DE. 300-600 per full attack but I dont need 70 000 De.

- th7 even now farm th7. Today I got 8000 de from mostly th7 and started king level 3

- if is true that dark drill have 1080 de per day (level 3) that will be huge help to take Hogs to level 2.

well said... enjoy it while it lasts. TH8 is tougher but not all that much tougher. Plenty of fat TH7s to prey upon.

Glad your liking th7, it is a game that is supposed to be fun, after all...

With that attitude, you will love th8 as well..... you can get some fairly heavy troops cooking, and loot is only going to be better when you get there, (after this update...)

Yeah. Lot people say me to skip king5 / hog rider 2 and jump to town hall 8. Bcs my loot is always full 4 000 000/4 000 000. Th8 like me :P

But I dont want. Really enjoy in th7. I will max king 5 and hogs 2. Now I have time to upgrade colectors bcs I dont have what to do. Now will only war, level De drill when come and will make thread about best army composition in war. Bcs mass hogs/dragons dont require some skill.

I do like me some economy changes ;) I know this collector update is gonna take 4-8 months to kick in but when it does, hopefully loot will be great. I still honestly wish they did something that would help the loot a little quicker. The one thing that could fix this for good is an achievement for maxing collectors. But that has been discussed enough already....

I just don't get it when higher level players complain about lower level players getting better game conditions because when they were lower level they didn't have that sort of "easyness". That's just a selfish way to deal with the ongoing changes that SC make to provide a better gaming experience to newer addepts of the game. It's the same as saying that I can't do math in a scientific calculator because my grandfather did it in an abacum. Every experienced player, and this do no apply only in CoC, knows that, as time passes by, new things are added into the game so the developers have to somehow compensate lower levels in order for them to keep up with the neverending updates for high level players.

For me, all a new player wants is to reach a level in which he can use all the good troops and enjoy the true high level experience. If SC has made it so that they can reach it quicker, what's the problem? They are trying and fixing loot problems for the high level players as well...

:mad:It was obvious that SC has to make the game easier for newcomers!:( Otherwise the gap would be too big and newcomers to clash of clans quit the game because they can't ever catch up with the older players! So all this changes are there too decrease a little bit the time you need to max the mid townhalls! It had to come sooner or later something that makes the game easier for the lower townhalls:o Only that walls can't be done with elixir until level 9 is a little bit against the lower townhalls but it's a minor change against to dark elixir drills available at th 7 :eek:

I understand that as well. I'm somewhere in the middle of just starting and maxing TH10 as far as time goes (been playing for just over 7 months) and I honestly envy all these higher players that got an easy ride up. Supercell, I feel is focusing in the wrong areas. They're catering to the lower level players trying to keep then interested, but they need to give the same attention to the higher players. That's why I like this update so much, it seems to give an even balance to both. And I understand that the more collectors/higher level, the better loot will be for everyone. This update would be almost perfect if they didn't add the archer tower thing. It basically nerfs ever strategy. Barch, all Archer, GoWiWi, Baloonion, Lavaloonion, Giant-healer with archer/wizards, basically any giant-based army ever, and I'm sure a couple more. And it also lowers the need/appeal for the xbows. I mean, c'mon, I just spent 7mil gold to get one to lv3 and now your telling me that the archer towers are basically the same thing? Really?

This is why I like th 7. Before 1 hour maxxed th 9 attack me. Lol. This is result :)

I'm Still trying to figure out how the 4th mortar killed barching since that's what everyone says.
I guess ill be spending the next few months trying to figure out how the archer tower killed barch- since the thought of that is just absolutely ridiculous in my opinion.

Yes am I happy to earn my barb king without a drill yes, but a drill makes it easier.

Collectors well, you could say, "I didn't get collectors level 12 at th8, why should they?" But that increases loot so no.

You could complain about anything if you wanted, even world peace or this thread.

In all honesty this is mostly for th9 and 10 but supercell did it in a way that people don't really notice; they're not thinking of what follows the update. People think 'oh yay new collector levels and de drills for lower townhalls this is great for them' but also a higher loot availability for th9-10? All this means is that th7-8 are going to have not only more loot, but more of that extra loot available to higher townhalls to come steamroll their base. Good for me and all but I don't think lower townhall players understand what is coming to them

I have genuine faith that economy will improve, it can't not, but to what extent we dont know.

Well, I'm not against giving lower leveled players a sort of "easyness". However, I don't like when it is done in a way that delay such players' advancement by giving loaded new features to build. For players to advance, there have to be a kind of need, a drive, clear-cut advantage of higher level play so everyone will want it and give as much as their effort to do it. Giving all sort of thing just delay this, placing players in a near-sandbox mode. I once asked my clan leader (a th 10) months ago, what's the most problem for raiding at th 10 ? And his answer was, "not enough th 9 to raid". And this is too what I found now.

As of now, there is no clear cut advantage given to higher town hall players while the penalty is nearly abusive. In short, no drive at all to upgrade your town hall.

If they really want to stop barching, they can start by arranging so we can actually find something within the storages. Thus far any attack I've found from th 10s were barching/mass archer for 1-star because creating an army that can actually penetrate to the core section of a base is totally not worth it.

To everyone already "not sure about the increased rate of fire for the Archer Tower"...

The AT will shoot twice as fast, however, the damage output per arrow being fired is halved.

If an archer tower was able to 1 shot an archer before, now it's going to have to 2 shot that same level archer.

The faster attack rate of archer towers after the update does not mean that your barch army is just going to get cut down and be useless now. The faster attack rate of the archer tower will have the biggest effect on weaker armies, like barch, but primarily when your barch army gets hit by area splash defenses (wiz towers and mortars) and they're severely weakened, that's when the higher attack rate of the AT will become more devastating. This will have an effect on the game but it most certainly will not render using the barch comp useless or anything like that.


So don't get all freaked out people, you will still be able to be successful raiding with barch.


Ok, you can breathe your sigh of relief now, all will be ok.

Since 20 DE/hr is nothing you'll have no problem giving me 480 DE a day right?

The newly available drill at th7 does make you think back about the struggle to get de. But as a th8 I can't wait to build a second drill. It makes sure that the loot available for raids will get higher, which is a good thing. I'm not so sure about the update of the AT.. Barching has been a lot more difficult with the 4th mortar, let alone now. Barching is as good as dead, which is a terrible thing to happen. The quickest way to farm is over, so with increased loot and increased training time for troops we're back where we started..

Don't want to be too sceptical, we'll eventually see how the update works out.

You are being skeptical; I don't know how you barch, but the strategy or effectiveness has not changed for me...all the 4th mortar meant to my attacks is that I now get around 55% of the base compared to the 65% that I use to get, and by that point all collectors/mines/drills are already destroyed.

Just to reiterate, barching is not any more difficult, nor will it be dead after the update...If you don't want to be skeptical, then don't be.

Makes sense boi or don't speak at all, I am a th10 and theres no way I'm wasting an army that costed more then what a th8 can offer me
anything you say about th10s in there isn't true cause for th9 nothing changes about there drills and a th10 that farms is not looking for rich TH8s

Aside from that it was about time th7s got a chance to get some dark without it has to be a big drama to get that first 10K dark for there king :cool:

Every time someone says its getting easier I just think of how I was able to use OP hogs. Those were the days, such a good experience hah. nah overall I'm fine with this I'm TH 10, max'd everything at 9 besides walls.
