Clans, Loot, Walls, Chat, Builders, etc
I had some ideas for a list of updates, and I wouldn't have posted save for the fact that most lists I see have some good ideas with some bad ideas mixed in. So here's my ideas, tell me what you think!
1. Chat Fixes -
Include with missed message indicator an 'active donations' indicator that would be green on the chat tab.
An easy way to get back to the top of chat.
Either a private messaging system or a private chat tab for co-leaders and leaders only, or further this by making it available to anyone who a leader of co-leader invites to the chat.
Some sort of way to at least chat with people on your 'friends' list without leaving and joining a new clan.
2. Wall Fixes -
This may just be wishful thinking, but drop elixer upgrade level to 8, at least. The excuse for bumping this to 9, that people need more elixer available for raiding is PREPOSTEROUS. If you can't manage your own resources to have what you need available for war or raiding, that's YOUR FAULT, not mine or the games fault. Everyone shouldn't be punished because some people are bad with resource management.
Eligibility for using Elixer is the only reason I've gotten my walls to level 7, and is responsible for a good chunk of my level 8's. I've never felt elixer deficient, or missed war attacks because I upgraded walls, or was just unable to raid due to lack of resources from upgrading walls. This is seriously the most puzzling change ever.
Wall prices are a LITTLE steep considering you can ONLY use gold, the primary resource used to upgrade (in that you need it more often). Even if 7's drop to 150k, 8's drop to 350k or 400k, it will help.
3. Builder Fixes -
At the top of the screen by the Builder display, add a small rectangular shaped box at the bottom that shows the amount of time until your next builder is available. This is simply for convenience, as some bases get complicated and sometimes builders are hard to find.
Whenever builders are idle, there should be something they can contribute to. Whether that be resource generation, spell or troop generation or the ability to help speed up other builders. You're game designers, so I'm sure you can come up with some other ideas here.
To further the 'while builders are idle', builders could have an option to auto-cleanup your 'yard' whenever they finish building, and can only be toggled this way if you have more than 2x the needed resources to remove all objects.
4. Base Design Fixes -
An option to 'switch' or 'flip-flop' buildings. When I click on a building, there could be a button that says 'swap' or 'switch', and it will switch the selected building with whatever building you click on next.
5. More Interactions! -
Add the ability to live spectate raids from people within your clan. A button similar to during war can appear on your clan member list for you to spectate and learn from higher players, or be critiqued by them while they watch you. Could also be toggleable per account, in case people don't want to be watched. I feel like this would help newer players learn the game quite a bit faster, in terms of raiding at least.
6. Clan Leader Options -
Clean leaders should be able to select and unselect members for war, so that shuffling members around and/or having sister non-war clans isn't necessary. Not everyone wants to be in every war, and while it's not complicated, it's extremely inconvenient to have to leave and rejoin all the time based on your schedule, or to get kicked out of your clan if you plan to be away for a couple days.
7. Loot Bonus for Raiding -
While the recent update that increased the amount of bonus we get for raiding, it was but a drop in a pond of a much bigger problem. The loot bonus is, simply put, far too low. In gold 2, I get a mere 11,000 gold and elixer per raid. That's laughable, that would be like every time you get paid your boss tossed you an extra quarter and told you not to spend it all in one place. My idea is to have a scaling reward, based on the number of stars earned. 33,000 for 3 stars, 22,000 for 2 stars, 11,000 for 1 star. Honestly, I think it should even be higher than that, but that's debatable. I think this would be a step in the right direction, and would help people a lot.
There's more that I can't think of right now, but I'll post again when I have more to add to the list.
