To TH9 or not to TH9

Hello everybody!

So, I recently started my TH upgrade to level 9. I have everything maxed except the following:

BK (Level 8)
Walls (55 skulls, others Dark crystal)
Storages (I prefer to upgrade "as needed")
DE lab upgrades (been putting all DE into BK)

Anyway, at this point, I was comfortable with moving to TH9, BUT with the recent announcement of the level 12 collectors and new TH8 DE Drill, I'm not so sure anymore.

Here's my question: should I cancel my TH upgrade and wait for the next update, then max the collectors and new drill, and THEN upgrade to TH9?

I been a TH 9 for a week and a half and i wish i was back at 8 because of this update. If you have or will have full storages i would say continue to 9. I had life happen to my last two days of upgrading and was gold poor so i have yet to get a xbow started. If i had known i would have the 2nd drill at lvl3 before upgrading.
BTW- i like having the storages maxed out. It makes the attackers wonder where the loot is because it does not look so full as the lower levels.

If you have the gold spent to upgrade already I say just leave it.... I was gonna suggest focusing on those skulls for the next day or 2 until the update hits. Also you will probably need those higher level storages for TH9. Barbs are 4.5mil to upgrade and archers are 6 mil

I think you made a good choice by upgrading to town hall 9

I say max everything you can including walls because farming th7's is easier than farming th8's and you'll probably want to do the upgrades later anyway. IMO of course :D

It will be easier to find loot at th8 with the new update and you don't have to worry about th9 people stealing your loot

what? TH8 will have more loot with extra drill lv12 collectors and stuck with full elixir storage because they can't dump into walls. so... TH9 will not be stealing their loot somehow:confused:
