It is... but if you think about when a maxed archer tower hits an archer, its like 2x DPS
EDIT: Or an archer/barb being hit by a mortar/wiz then finishes off by an archer 2x quicker, it's like 2x DPS, too = 1 hitter.
They shoot twice the speed but at HALF THE DAMAGE. Please stop with the whole 'this update will ruin ______ forever' they're making balancing changes that were a necessity. Be happy
Responding to the topic title as there is far too many posts.
But you know what, so it should be. Winning in Masters or higher should not be easy; especially with a set of just tier 1 troops.
I for one quite dislike seeing maxed out bases been defeated by a string of tier 1 troops only. It just isn't right.
And I am long time BAM user.
lol. it's hard already to barch in master 3, there's a reason why most farmers avoid leagues higher than master 3, because it's difficult to find a base to barch.
You are like saying barch is 100% guaranteed to get 50%, which is not. It takes skill and sometimes "luck" to get 50%, especially if you don't have heroes or only have few spells.
First calling people who raid storages "leeches to the game."
Then saying that getting 50% 1-stars for bonus and sniping THs is the way that players should/are intended to play.
Now you want all troops cook times equalized based on housing space.
Seriously man, you are something else. It sounds to me like you just want to play a game where everyone moves at a completely level rate of progression, and nobody "steps outside their boundaries" and attempts to grab more from others as it would be a slight setback to the defending players' progress.
And they're not trying to "get rid" of barch, but what they are doing is making it significantly harder to barch for league bonuses up in Masters and Champions league, as if people are exploiting the system with that. The ironic part is that they're punishing those players for using one of the only options given to them b/c of the effect the stupid elixir or walls update caused in the first place.
It's just another step to make farming progressively tougher without the use of gems (to boost longer cook-time armies or simply make filling up your storages with them more attractive given the loot per hour people can pull in now).
OP, this is the end of barch/bam/arch for noobs, yes.
PS: take a few more barbs (more than 1/3 less than 1/2 of total army comp) ... Easy 1*
Un easy to BAM in master 2 to me, but easily done in master 3.
I barched yesterday and saw pretty much no change. Level 5 troops are slightly worse against the new towers, but not much.
You have to account for the fact that this strengthens heal spells and healers slightly too, meaning that it almost balanced itself out against barch with heal spells.
