You are mistaken... Twice as fast, half the damage...
About 2-3 hours a day normally. But because I'm doing unbreakable on my main, I am on my mini while I'm getting defence wins on main.
So 95% of my normal clash time is on my mini. Obviously if I see a snipe, I'll take it. And I'm not rushing, I've been champ before, not exciting any more. I dont even know if ill get it, I can look at a base, and pretty much know instantly if there are enough exposed buildings to go for the attack, its a lot harder on my mini due to 2 spells, no heros and much lower camp space.
Im not gonna go out of my way to get it, if I make it, cool, if not... Well, no big deal.
That's like saying I'm barching if i use a 2 golems to absorb all the hits and some witches to make more targets around the fringes to distract defenses then throw in 140 or so barb/arch. Hogs have 2 roles for th10, luring CC and getting exposed air D against bad bases. Maybe if you wanna roll over some unsuspecting th8, you can use them for that too. Show me a replay of a single maxed Th10 getting 3 starred by HOGS not some golem/witch/wiz hybrid with 8 random hogs to pick of edge defenses, and if you're maxed th9 getting 3 starred by Hogs they arent good layouts.
I guess I don't understand what everyone is so upset about. As stated by Marika, the new AT's shoot twice as fast but do half the damage. The two cancel each other out meaning the update does not really change anything.
Or, am I missing something big?
Still takes 2 shots to kill lvl 7 archers unless it is a lvl 13. A lvl 7 tesla can one-shot it and shoots just ever so slightly slower at .6 seconds. Barb is a bit different. lvl 13 archer tower normally takes 2s to kill a lvl 7 barb. Now, it is down to 1.5 seconds since lvl 13 AT need only 3 arrows to kill him. This applies to the lvl 12 AT too i think. Yea, a worthy change, but only significant to higher AT. Teslas will still remain the best single target defense against hordes of enemies.
It's kinda like how xbows work....they do roughly the same DPS but xbows shoot faster. This allows no overkill DPS on lower tier troops (Archers, Barbs, Goblins, Minions) which allows ATs to switch targets faster. So they do the same damage but beat lower tier troops faster.
It makes them more efficient.
Have you not built any mortars/wiz towers (splash dmg defenses) for your base yet?
Because if so then yes, it really only affects lvl 7 barbs/archers vs lvl 13 archer towers, and I believe lvl 6 barbs/archers for lvl 11/12 archer towers (somebody made a chart already).
However, if you start to look at these changes from a holistic perspective, and not merely what one specific change will do, you will see how much of a difference it will make.
