Hi folks, I'm a rather new TH9, former maxed TH8 with now all TH9 elixir structures maxed and giants 6.
I'm often (not always) loot starved at 1700 trophies. I pushed up to 2200 and it was even worse, the targets are harder and the league bonus is meaningless.
I'm trying to get away from BArch which gets annoying after a while and now have all my gold structures to upgrade.
Is it
a) possible
b) profitable
to move up to masters?

You should be able to find loot at G1/C3.
Early TH9 in Master is possible, but you'll probably lose more gold searching for a base you can raid (and win), and lose all gold when someone attacked you.
Master league tend to have more exposed storages as some gemmers tend to be trophy-hungry, hoping farmer will farm their loot and run away with a defense win. You could probably use that to your advantage or win and get bonus 100k 100k 500de each :D
That being said, always throw your TH outside. No point having it inside.
Dont go masters unless you want a lot of dark elixi and dont care about gold elix
It would be doable to farm in Masters as a late stage TH9 after you've upgraded defenses and wrapped up the elixir-based lab projects. At that point you could dump gold and elixir into walls (legos) and just save the dark up - TH9's in Masters that I saw in the attack queue were typically broke and that just by itself was a very effective defense set up.Quote:

Stay at 1850 for gold and elixir, and 1900 for dark elixir
i farmed all my walls to 9 here and am now farming heroes to lvl 20

I tend to bounce between gold, cc, c2...
Elixir and gold is much better in gold league....
You can get gold in crystal, but seems more and easier down in gold... elixir is low in crystal. .
So I move up for Dark, and some gold,
Back down if need big gold, or elixir...
I usually BAM, lower down, with rage if needed for storage rush...
Up higher for bigger DE, I use miniball....
If you are still th8 strength, donot hold too much elixir up high..... They are paddling in Dark, but everyone will try for your elixir...
Th out, usually sniped in minutes in c2....

Nope. Loot in masters is horrible for TH9's.
You can't really barch for the league bonus (unless you are really good at it)
Most people there are TH10's (and contrary to what a lot of people say, they DO protect their storages)
The TH9's or occasional TH8's you'll find carry few to no loot.
Hardly any inactives there (but if you do find one it's usually 300/300/3K)
I'm still farming in Gold III and II (going bit up and down).
There are really dry times but usually it's not that bad (farming about 40 to 50 mil a week with GIBARCH, BAM and loonian during the day)
I just reached TH9 about a week, and gold 1/2 are literally heaven.
Today I got about 2 million boosted. Only had time to utilize about one and a half hour.
