I'm planning a 4 week break from the game while I'm on vacation.
I'm wanting my base to gain trophies while I'm away.
Is it better to leave collectors and storages in a corner so farmers hit it and leave?
OR
Will that just encourage them to go for an easy 50 to get some trophies for themselves?
What is the best way for me to set up my base so I can gain trophies instead of going backwards during a period of inactivity?

Toss storages outside, and put all your defenses and unnecessary building in a corner with your TH, tight and protected well. THat way people will just go for the loot and most likely will not go for the trophies. (could be wrong I am a hybrid farmer and i know i hate to lose trophies in a raid)

I'm wanting a base that gives farmers free loot but makes it hard for them to get out with 50%.
I'm not sure why you would want to do this but I would put all of your collectors, storages and drills outside. Then protect the rest of your buildings heavily, maybe even in an egg design. This will mean that farmer will take the easy loot but won't want to sacrifice the amount of troops needed to get the entire 50%. You would need to attract barches and other cheap armies like that and have the rest of your buildings well enough protected that they can't get the 50% easily. As a barcher if I could get 150k+ with a few troops then I would not care about the 50% and save my troops for the next raid.
I agree with this i am a barcher as well and if i saw your storages and pumps on the outside id take them out with a few troops and move on to the next one forget the trophiesQuote:
