What do you think the best troop is to have in your defensive clan castle in a clan war?
Wizards.
My clanmates got ripped apart by them
We aren't a serious war clan, though, and that's how I like it

The wizards do the high damage while the archers are distractions.
If that is true why not use 1 barb, 1 archer, and a gob or so instead of archers? Their various speeds would allow for a longer period of time when troops would be waiting.Quote:

Should always be based on what you want the CC to do and the base layout and what you think that base is possibly going to get attacked with.
For example on a TH7 you wouldn't entertain the idea of putting valkyrie there if you are up against a serious war clan where you are almost guaranteed to face mass dragons.

lvl 5 or better wizards
Easily witch plus wiz because witch distracts with skeletons and the wizards splash the troops
