If you spend 10 gems to boost your Hero's healing or creating of spells you will probably notice that the timer continues counting down even when your Hero is completely healed or spell factory is full. Why are we not given a FULL 2 hour boost for our gems? This needs to happen. Send your support if you agree.
You are getting 2 hours of boost. Just because you failed to utilize those two hours efficiently is not Supercells fault.
It's not their fault, but they're not giving us good value either. Like, if I pay to boost my spells, but then my factory stays full for 20 minutes because I found a target with weak defense and I didn't need spells, that's not my fault. It would be good if that boost time didn't just go to waste.Quote:

If i boost barracks I will have wizards or even a pekka being trained in my boosted barracks while i go search for a raid. As they say, resorting to personal attacks shows the weakness of ones argument. It's your responsibility to maximize the effectiveness of the boosts, not Supercells. They gave you what they said they would, two hours of boosting. How you utilize it is up to you.
Wow you people are thick. When you are farming you can queue up another army to build and while you are searching And raiding your new army is being built so when you boost your barracks your boost is doing work for you all the time. But because you can't queue up spells when you have spell factory full then the time is being wasted through no fault of your own. This is wrong either you should be able to queue up spells so it works the same way barracks and hero boosts do or it should pause when full. Surely you can see this
Well boost is for boosting, and ur troops keep training while u searching for a raid as long as u dont end ur search without raiding, troops will continue to be trained, also many people r not aware, that as soon as u search for a raid even if ur heros r healthy they start recovering too, if boosted or not boosted.which is an awesome feature, lets hope in the near future, we can pause the boost if we dont need or get busy with something and r not able to use boost. Also able to stack spells like troops will really be very helpful. 😊
You must remember that supercell wants to earn money, and if we make it so cheap to boost barracks, people will buy less gems and sc will earn less money

I do use my spells in my raids so that I can honestly say that I'm trying to get the most out of the spell factory boost even tho it is supercell's fault that i cannot que up creating spells when the spell factory is full like how people que up troops when army camps are full. Also, you neglected to mention boosts on Heroes because we all know I'm right that once the Hero is healed the timer continues to countdown and does not care if your spells are ready or if your army camp is full or not. What if I only had 10 gems to boost my Hero? No person can honestly time the training of their troops to be done at the same time as the boost on their Hero. I have yet to encounter a single mainstream freemium game with boosts where a time limit on the boost was any different than how it is here.

Yes you are right and I do plan for boosting. I have never said that i don't plan my boosting well. I'm merely pointing out that we do not get the exact 2 hours. Currently, I always end up losing about 5-8 minutes of actual boost because I'm waiting on something else to finish before I can attack. As for the car rental thing I would just enjoy it for the extra hour i paid for it😁 You yourself said nobody would complain if this was implemented. So if its not hurting the game and benefits the player I don't see why people are against the idea.Quote:

Should I be allowed to PAUSE my useage of 5 hours, then return the next day and use it for another 8 hours, so on and so forth until I get my 24 hour use?
That's what you are trying to imply. Had you just argued that you just want the feature because it would benefit you, I'd let it go but you enter aggressively stating that Supercell somehow doesn't care about their customers for using a service model that reflects the rest of the world?

What my objectivity allows, for people who are open minded to it, is the ability to rethink their ideas in a way that would convince Supercell to implement it. Instead of taking my objections and saying "You're right, Supercell wouldn't go this, how do I improve on my idea so that they may take it more seriously" you instantly go on the defensive and resort to name calling.
If all we ever did was say "Oh yea great Idea, +1" even to ideas that would not make business sense to Supercell, you'd never develop an idea that would be worthy of review.
Take for instance Mastermind's Quest. At first, I wasn't a fan but through many pages of constructive discussion, it's developed into something that I would get excited about.
Objectivity is important in a discussion as it helps to develop better ideas.

But it would hurt. It opens up a system of abuse. Players could sit back and use boost time at their leisure. The whole concept of boosting is a short spurt of increased production, not something to be used when convenient. When Supercell allowed for boosts to pause during maintenance brakes, I applauded this update. We do not have the power to determine when a maintenance break will occur. That was a good update. What you are recommending, I don't believe is a good update. Not in it's current form.

I think you're still missing the point. You can use spells at your whim for those 2 hours. But there will always be time lost due to inefficient activities that are inevitable.
And there is still the issue of abusing this. You could boost and sit on it for days. The only solution to your problem is to make a single boost option, which isn't really cost effective.
The point that axion is trying to make is that your idea will never be implemented by SC because it's against their business model. It encourages the people who spend money on this game to spend less. If you want your idea to gain traction, it has to be a benefit for the players but also at least neutral to the game company.
It would be great if you only payed for the hours of actual use on the rental car. rental car companies don't do it this way because this would ruin their profit.
I don't see how it would be abused really. At most within the 2 hour boost period someone will lose roughly 5 minutes. So the gain that any player could have from implementing this is 20 minutes (boost is 4x greater so 5 x 4 = 20). However, its possible to lose more time on the boost for whatever reason that may be.Quote:

So why can't Supercell allow us to que up a spell to create while we go raid same as with the barracks? If that could happen I would not even mind losing a little time on my Hero being boosted.
It can be abused because now players can wait to find the perfect base everytime. Part of the deal with boosting is you are trading quantity for speed, thus greater earnings per hour despite potentially smaller individual hauls. It may work out to great finds, but you can't waste loads of time nexting if you want to maximize boosts.
But if the timer is off? The player could wait til he finds what he wants and not worry about boost time being wasted. Or he could even log off and try again later if he's having bad luck finding anything worthwhile. This completely defeats the concept of a boost.
Yeah I see what you are getting at. The idea I had in mind would not be a pause button as someone on the first page mentioned but for the boost timer to automatically stop when theres nothing to boost.Quote:

Regardless, abuse may always exist. People already use bot programs to continue to gain loot even while they are sleeping. I've even heard my fellow clanmates that those are the people hurting the economy in clash of clans. If people can just sit back and wait for the perfect base to come along it still doesn't mean a person can overtake that base. People will always misjudge the strength of a base. This is due to several reasons such as location of traps, cc reinforcements, etc.
Abuse will always exist, but an update shouldn't invite it. With adding a time limit, it would hinder that, but now you're turning a simple concept of a 2 hour boost into a far more complicated one with unnecessary overhead.
It's important to remember that every feature isn't practical for every player. This has to be this way because there's all kinds if different players, most notably farmers and trophy pushers. I see spell factory boosting as being way more valuable to a trophy pusher. Farming not as much unless you're a hardcore player who boosts barracks and heroes constantly too. It's just too difficult to time spell boosts with army building.

You are not using it as efficiently as possible as you are willingly and purposefully restricting your use of those spells based on other factors. The spells are ready, you are free to use them so your next spells will be boosted. You are self imposing a limitations based on other factors being ready thus you are not maximizing the efficiency!

Btw, upon further development, the idea about "pausing the timer once the SF is full or Heroes are fully Healed" is plausible if you had a certain amount of time to return to the boost, otherwise unlimited time to return would, like you said, lead to exploitation by the darker side of the community
