Attacking a base much stronger than yours

Sometimes I like to challenge myself or use that as an excuse when I see a ton of loot. But does anyone else do it? My logic is this, if I can take out one storage of lix and gold than its still worth it. Other times I just wonder if I stand a chance in war and try anyway. I have surprised myself a couple of times by one starring a TH10 when I was an 8. And of course there are other times my entire army gets wiped within a few seconds, dang inferno towers. :mad:

Also if anyone has had success attacking a much stronger player please post what strategy to use. I have tried giants which don't last and GoWiPe which lasts a little bit more.

ive seen th8s one star max th10s in war using loonian. If they have centralized air defenses and archer towers in the outside layer, its definitely possible to one star them. i do this myself sometimes too :D

Yes... I often queue 'overnight' armies, and happy to try a heavy attack, on th10.... esp if plenty loot...

More satisfying than big collector raids......:cool:

I use amd equal number of barbs and archers, 8 lvl2 hogs and heal spells with lvl5/6 wiz in the cc. Works well. Lay a line or 2 of barbs, then same archers and repeat u til all gone, put in the hogs and heal them fast, then the bk and cc. My heal spell is lvl5 and bk lvl5. Have fun and you need to really pick your base for this.

I do not do that and do not like any of my clan mates does that. If you as th 8 can 1- star a th 10, chance is you can 3 stars a couple th 8s as well. War is about getting the most stars, which requires well coordinated and disciplined attacks, not bravados.

Not every TH 10 has a well protected, centralized TH. I've managed to one star a number of bad bases that had their TH on the edge while going for outer ring storages using either balloonion or 88 barb + 24 wiz. It's never been on purpose though, more like collateral damage.

As a th8 especially I used to build overnight "revenge" armies...and would revenge whatever attacker crushed my 8. During my year and a half I have been hit by some very powerful bases but have managed to pull out some incredible revenges. Back in the day mass drag would work like a charm, or an old favorite of mine, wiz/healer with rages.

Doing this in wars is called war looting and many clans kick for it (as they should).

I recently just 2 star a TH10 with 2 lv2 inferno and 3 xbows with dragons btw he has max TH9 defense :)
