Please Revert the update to upgrading walls with Elixir!

I agree that there was an abundance of purple elixir before the update and yes that made gold more valuable than purple elixir but how does even come close to outweighing the negatives of being purple elixir starved? Lets do the math, 220 troops of lev6 barch costs around 60-80k (with no spells), I have tanked and jumped trophies from masters 2 to gold 3 looking for a sweet spot and 60-80k is 95% of what I see. I hit next on average 20-40 times, I mean, its just awful.

It blows my mind that the people on forums actually defend this. Everyone ive talked with and even the times ive vented in global, its virtually unanimous that no one enjoys that part of the patch. After taking time to ponder this, I can only conclude that two types of people would disagree: First group being the farmers who dont raid, the patch is amazing for them since they do not have to fear heavy attacks anymore (for the most part). And the second group being that thread trolls will disagree no matter the objective and empirical evidence in front of them.

Weve always spent fifteen minutes looking for the perfect target. The update didnt cause this.

There's not a problem with elixir, its with the gold. The elixir and walls is fine as it is.

I've never had a problem with Gold. In Crystal, it just accumulates with ease especially with loot bonus.

Elixir, I've ran out of. Gold, I'm always getting plenty of even if I'm not trying to.

It went from easy to being the rarest resource to gain. Purple elixir is the 'enabler' of this game. Without gold, i can still play. Without Dark elixir, I can still play. Without Purple elixir, I cannot play; I cannot donate, I cannot participate in wars, I cannot raid. You see the problem?

Semantically, yes it does make it more challenging but in the same way of me challenging you to a 1v1 on a console game but you cannot use a controller. Yes technically, it is more challenging but in an incredibly unhealthy way.

The Fact that Super Cell sees this as an issue is good. Allthough, the winter patch will only mitigate the issue. I'd wish Super Cell would just take out spending elixir on walls entirely.

What would you say about merely a restriction on using it? So that in order to use elixir on wall upgrades, you would need to have at least the minimum elixir available to provide the loot cap for your TH (4M at TH10, 2.9M at TH9, etc) plus the amount for whichever wall piece you were upgrading? Then players who would normally have overflowing elixir storages would have an outlet for it, but they would never be able to empty their storages of it from wall upgrades on their own, allowing farmers to avoid having to sift through those bases as they offer pathetic 50k/50k loots.
