Empires
This a very badly thought out idea but in my opinion having empires would be a interesting part of the game. This could be done if everyone has a exact copy of their base which they are unable to control but change the base layout for it like it is in clan wars. This copy would have the same amount of resources as the original base, so whatever loot you gain gets copied onto the copy base. Then basically you have this option to start a empire and you have to go and attack someone's base who's the same level as you. If you get 2 or more stars in the attack you own that base and it is part of your empire. However that in the base copy the defences are made significantly stronger to make it more difficult to win. That base you own however is a copy of the original base like I said above, so now you have 2 bases in your empire. In that base copy you control the loot in the copy and the troops trained. That base copy is added to your base copy and you have 1 big base as a empire, this also means that the troop capacity in the army camps increases. Then say that you want to make your empire even bigger then you can attack someone else's empire but now since you have a empire made of 2 bases you can only attack someone the same level as you and who's empire is made of the same amount of bases as yours. And you know i said your empire is bases combined together to make one big base as a empire, that is what you would be attacking but it would be made of the same amount of bases you contain. However since your empire is counted as one big base the army camps and the spell factories capacities are all combined so you are able to take more troops to attack with. The defences are stronger than normal like i mentioned above and if you win you control that empire and it is part of your empire. Then you can continue to expand your empire the same way.
However please note that this would not affect your original base in any way because this is all just a copy and your copy base only gains resources when your original base gains it and no you will not gain or lose resources through your original base from this. Also this idea is incomplete because there are many more factors that must be taken into account.
