Is upgrading to TH9 a bad decision?

I'm starting to get bored with the game and want some new units to keep clan wars fun. Clan wars is the part of the game I enjoy the most. I just started the TH9 upgrade.

When it finishes all my defenses will be max for TH8 except for Teslas which are level 4 and small bombs which are level 4.

As far as troops, all will be max except Golems, minions lvl 3, hogs still lvl 1(don't care about hogs), goblins lvl 4, and wallbreakers will be almost level 5.

As for walls I have 90 lvl 8 walls and the rest are lvl 7.

Do you think I will struggle much as a TH9? Trying to keep the game fresh so I don't get bored of it completely and decide to quit. I'm in a clan with really great adult players and actually that is probably the best part of the game for me. I don't forsee myself ever seriously trophy pushing or being a fully maxed TH10.

You should max walls and teslas. Teslas are oneof the best def you have at th8 and th9.

i think your ready to go, but as the other guy said u should upgrade your teslas

my friend told me loot at town hall 9 is really scarce unless you're at a high trophy count, probably around 2k+. You should totally max out until u upgrade.

start the upgrades for the teslas. They are underrated imo...... and you can do walls whilst you upgrade. Lvl7 walls aren't bad..... mine were erm....gold....... would not recommend lower

Yeah get the walls to lvl 7 and upgrade your teslas. I didn't upgrade my teslas really until th 10 and I regretted it. They're one of the underrated def buildings imo.

I'm getting the itch too, but I'm plugging away at these DE troops. Don't want the added burden of upgrading TH8 lvl stuff plus TH9. Is your BK max? I'd get it to lvl 10 then maybe upgrade. The troop you don't use now maybe the troop you'll need later.

Your friend is mistaken I'm afraid. The loot is good at TH9, I farmed 14 legos today.

If the choice is to upgrade or quit the game, I would say upgrade. If you can keep at it without quitting then the more you get done before upgrading the better.

Every level is fun and offers different things. If you are board to tears as a long time TH 8, move up. Keep this in mind, at TH 9, the TH 10s no longer have a 50% penalty to raid you and if you have been feasting on TH 7s, you now get a 50% penalty on them. But at TH 9, you get the ohhh so sexy archer queen to move into your house.

You seem ready for an upgrade. The loot penalty isn't that bad at th 9 anyway.
