Who are you to decide that? Do you think you set the standard and everyone should do as you do? If you bought if for the shield then so what? That money still goes to red, so if the users just wanted the red shield then don't both sides win? Or is that coc user a bad person for donating 5.99?
I wouldve bought it for the shield too, but since we cant keep it, Nope! Nadda! Sorry!
I mean, what does $5 do for a charity that may not even exist? Nothing. All they could buy with it is a few candy bars.
I say make it permanent to show you made a permanent difference in someones life.
Ok.
Before I even bother going into this, its 12am.
Im not going to win this, I can tell already.
Congrats you win! I'm a horrible human. Yada Yada Yada.
I will say this though, when buying the shield you clicked the little green button that accepted them terms saying it will be removed in the 9th. If you're unhappy about that, read the fine print next time.
Quite a hostile attitude towards charity you two have. Lets just hope you guys or any of your loved ones never have to depend on someones charity for help or even survival.
If you only do charity by the whatever kind of 'showy offy ' return is in it for you...ice bucket syndrome....look at meee meee look at mee im doing sooooo goood, meee .... yeah thats what charity is all about nowadays. very sad!!
....as opposed to the rinky dink outfit that is Product Red...
The Global Fund.
Every day, 700 babies are born with HIV. (RED)™ works with companies like Apple to fight for an AIDS‑free generation by creating (PRODUCT)RED merchandise. A percentage of gross profits from the sale of those products goes to the Global Fund to help fund AIDS programmes in Africa. Since its introduction, (PRODUCT)RED has generated more than $250 million for the Global Fund — more than $70 million from Apple alone. You can help make an impact by purchasing a (PRODUCT)RED iPod or (PRODUCT)RED accessories for iPhone and iPad.
