Idea to possibly help the loot problem

So we all know that loot sucks at the moment, and the idea dawned on me yesterday as I was endlessly skipping through bases trying to find something worthwhile. As I was skipping through I noticed a decent amount of abandoned bases, but they had very low level collectors and only offering a few thousand of each resource. So my idea was that collector upgrades should be mandatory before progressing your TH. Ex all resource collectors need to be lvl8 before TH5, LVL9 before TH6, LVL10 before moving to TH7, and they should be maxed before moving to TH8. It is incredibly annoying seeing TH9's and 10's with level 4-5 collectors. They arent contributing anything to this already dismal economy. Do it SC, you wont.

No! Find a different trophy range! I have better upgrades to waste my time on than collectors. They are the last thing I do while my th is upgrading if I have time. They wont get past lvl 8 till about th7. You just need to find a different range mate.

Not a bad idea, however people like keeping it low for reasons unbeknownst to me. probably to discourage collector raids in favor of Store raids, and the probability that they will be raided, thus giving them full collectors in the morning for a farming raid, and from there its all in the storages.

But srsly though, I like the idea of a reverse max on collectors, where its a minimal level,

EDIT: the time it takes to upgrade is quite a nuisance for not a lot of gain however as pointed out above me ^. Even its three or five days, thats three or five days that I could have been starting my new farming upgrades and defense upgrades

I'm not crazy about the thought of forcing players to upgrade anything to advance, with the exception of storages since that's obviously necessary. I've seen the idea float around of adding achievements for collector upgrades, which I think would accomish the same thing.

Although, I do agree it's really annoying seeing TH9s and 10s with level 2 and 3 collectors. The leeches drain money and pump nothing back into the economy. Pretty much like those few who purposefully abuse the welfare system.

Keep in mind the loot problem has a million different solutions, most of which have already been proposed here in the forums. The problem is Supercell is not going to change anything, because the loot problem benefits them since it creates the need for gems.. If everyone is happy with full storages nobody needs gems. So SC can say whatever they want, bottomline is they are never going to get this fixed.

Loots fine if the game was any easier, it would be pointless playing.. Maybe we should just ask sc for a silver spoon? Lol.. Th9 lv 120 farming masters to crys1 i spent a week in gold league was ok there also,but felt nooby farming on weak bases.. Some like it but loot bonus is better up ahead, and theres dead bases all across the leagues from gold up to m2

There's a huge loot difference between TH9 and TH10. Also it's not about the game being easy, it's about not being intolerable since you have to press next more than a hundred times to find anything decent (I'm not exaggerating!).

Some almost maxed tens i know farming cry1 to champs and say its ok , not to bad for searching, and 2 down in gold league also, might be worth a try... Good luck anyways👍👍

You are assuming that those kinds of inactives don't already exist. But, they do. SC's algorithms just averts your search from them.

So, let's assume that they do input this forced upgrade of collectors. Now those bases are abandoned.

Do you think you'll be able to locate these new loaded inactives? No. They'll get hidden, too.

Problem is not lack of inactive bases, problem is the obvious contradiction between SC's monetary policy and SC's gameplay policy. Apparently the former wins by a wide margin.

Agreed (i'm a mid 10, not a maxed 10). I've had good luck in Crystal 1/2 BAMming on preemie bases with the occasional inactive to make me feel really good :)
And contrary to popular opinion, a th10 CAN attack a th8 if the price is right. I can often get 100/100 and a little DE off a th8 + the league bonus with less than a full BAM army and no spells. Back attacking 10-15 minutes later with a full army.

Thanks mate. I'm in champs right now and it's definitely better than gold or crystal, but still you have to spend a huge ammount of time to find something were you can make a profit. Obviously it has it's ups and downs. Cheers.

If your going to force one thing you must force the rest. Max everything spell's/wall's/Research before TH upgrade.

Yes, that's true. I am a th9 and I hit a th7 collectors to offset search cost and come up w/ 100K each. ONCE, I hit a th7 for 190K each!! That was insane!

give the next button loot to the base that is skipped is what i want.

If you win a defend the attacker should pay for re setting your traps :)
(Also there should be auto trap resetting in the options area)

should be extra bonus for 3 starring a base. say 2 x multiplier to the league bonus.
(this would push farmers to attacker harder for sure. I know i would )

SC wants you all to use the ultimate problem solver that can solve any in-game problem that exist.

that problem solver is to spend gems.

You're one of the people I'm talking about, those who contribute nothing to the economy. I've farmed from champ down to C3, and throughout all ranges I've seen high level bases with nooby collectors. It's just aggravating. It costs 150k and 4 days (if my memory is correct) to go from lvl10-11, I don't think that is asking much.

I like this idea fine. Another less forceful way is to reward upgrading them with an achievement. Either would be fine and would help with the loot issue. However I do not believe any single fix will solve the loot problem. It will require multiple pieces to correct this complex issue.

Given that there are six of them at the mid Th levels, assumin that 4 builders are available and the last one is for walls, that still 3 cycles of a) 4 days where I could be a higher TH and farming for big upgrades, b) losing free loot from upgrading them, c) unlocking new stuff and building said stuff

Agree 100%. Supercell should have put in an achievement long ago. I find collector raids all the time. Unfortunately it's usually 20-30k at most. Nothing is more annoying than a well developed base with lvl 2-3 mines and pumps. And the ridiculous excuse that leveling them up is a waste of time or makes them a bigger target. Who couldn't use an easy 500k every day with no effort.

This!
An achievement for reaching a collector level would be a good way to incent players to do it. Sadly, this has been brought up before and SC determined at the time not to do it.

Not the money thats a problem. And mine generally are lvl 8 at least by th8. But forcing me to upgrade in those early stages is annoying. Mine will be maxed at th8 where I actually start taking something substantial from the economy. I like collectors, but there is no need for me to have them high lvl till th7 ish. I upgrade a few lvls per th.

Agreed, I didnt bother with mine, They were filler upgrade's while I waited on my research to finish. Research take's longer then build time at th7 so that's when I maxed them out.

I get that, lol i like my free collector loot trust me. And i have lvl 10 collectors now, but about two weeks ago all my lix collectors were lvl9 and now that they are 10 they get me soooo much more loot, its great.

TH8's with level 10 collectors aren't the problem. It's TH9's and 10's with single digit levels that are the problem.

If you're still saying loot is bad then you need to just stop playing the game, it's so boring coming on forums everyday to see at least 2 threads about 'Bad Loot' '1,000,000 next's later'. Push to a higher league or drop down.

Only if you aren't naturally filling your storages on your own. Some people enjoy farming. If your walls are maxed before your defenses it means you farm very quickly, and you have to move to the next TH quickly to gain a new gold sink (new wall level). This is a special occasion for a active type player, but it definitely happens.

This is another take of an idea some have already had where a sweet victory type achievement would be given for maxing collectors. Still a decent idea since the issue is not really a lack of dead bases, but a lack of dead bases with good mines for those who only barch/bam.

Making an achievement for collector upgrading is probably the best thing supercell can do. What is the biggest way loot gets injected into the system? Collectors and clan wars. Collectors, clan wars, and the loot bonus are the only way loot gets injected into the system. When you raid someone, you are not adding loot (excluding loot bonus, which only starts getting good at crystal and up), you are only moving it from them to you. Collectors add more loot for people to raid. I also really don't like seeing higher town halls with low lvl collectors. They are feeding off others and complaining that loot is bad (which is true though) while they add nothing to the system. Additional ways to solve loot using collectors are probably these:

1.) Lower the time for upgrading collectors. This is the biggest reason why people don't upgrade them.
2.) Make collectors produce a bit more or add higher collector levels
3.) The achievement. Preferably 20-50 gems as a award or more, to motivate people to upgrade.
4.) More 1 gem boosts. The 1 gem boosts reward you the most at higher levels

I don't really like the idea of forcing you to upgrade collectors to go up town halls though. I feel that achievements should be in place instead of that. And I know, my points have been brought up numerous times already, just adding them in.

Agreed, they definitely need to up collector production, or add more levels. They cap off at TH7, yet upgrade costs do not. I know this has been suggested numerous times before, yet SC continues to turn the other cheek. I'm beginning to feel as if all these ideas are better heard by brick walls.

Id be willing to wager this type of player is a very small minority. Well developed bases with noob level mines and pumps are an epidemic. Simply putting in a acheivement with a worthwhile amout of gems would seem to be an easy fix. Fingers crossed that one day Supercell does this.

Other ideas to reduce loot issues (not serious but it'd definitely increase loot help)

1. Remove a builder - If people don't have free builders to upgrade, they can't spend and will have fuller storages
2. Remove TH10 - If people have less things to upgrade, they won't be taking the loot that you'd want.
3. Remove walls - They're a black hole for resources. People working on walls will just waste your gold as you skip their bases
4. Limit login time to once a day - If players can't log on, their collectors will fill up and give you more loot to take
5. Randomly ban players - If players can't play, there'd be more collector base for others to get easy loot

To be serious, it would be helpful if people get more collectors at higher level too. The top THs must rely on the lower THs to have an excess of loot so they could get resources because TH7/8 collector bases aren't too great for TH10. Instead of trickle down economy, it's like trickle up. I don't think that SC wants to have upgrade requirements though

All supercell has to do to fix the loot problem is not take out inactives from the search que. staff have even said they take out inactives. Loot didn't suddenly get bad. Supercell made it like that.
i have had the game for over a year and I can confirm there is a loot problem for the people who say there isn't. My gg is 700 million so I have experience farming.

If the vast majority of players left their THs outside of the walls for one weekend for easy picking this would infuse tons of loot into the game.

Adding restrictions like this to the game won't be received very well by everyone.

However, they can add a gem achievement for maxing collectors. That would push people in the right direction.

I like the idea of the gem achievement, but I still don't think that would coax enough players into upgrading them. It would still likely make the situation better than it is at the moment though.

This would definitely work but....

Collector raids shouldn't be what clash is about. It should be about having to pretty much demolish a base to get to the storages. However storage raids suck becuase at th9 and th10 you can only get half the storages if lucky. And collectors tend to have soo much more loot anyways.

SuperCell needs to do something drastic and do it soon because this game is starting to lose its fun.

Are you living under a rock? The loot has been awesome lately I'm finding easy 400K+ loot bases easily and getting a total of about 1.5 million from clan wars. Why are people complaining all of a sudden?!
