The first wasn't a analogy for the game, it was for your usage of the word "difficult".

I'm pretty sure that there's a lot of people that can't reach #1 spot even if they played all day every day, have you tried winning every attack for a few months at high champ?

He didn't have to learn anything to reach champ, the analogy was just meant to highlight that part, he got no skill and it's something anyone can do, reaching champ the traditional way takes skill because you have to beat different bases to get there, learn which to attack, which don't to attack, deployment, composition etc, beeing a good player. Champ is easy nowadays I agree with you on that but it wasn't always.

A skill is something that can be learned and developed as you said. Well, patience is something that can be learned and developed, so that sounds like a skill to me. Now, to what degree varies for people based on innate qualities, but patience is certainly something that can be taught.

And I guarantee you he had to learn stuff. Avoiding trapped THs is a skill learned by snipers. It also requires discipline to stay away from these traps. And unless he gemmed resources, he probably had to barch for resources at several points.

By that definition everything is a skill, I don't agree with that and I'm sure most people wouldn't but I don't care much about discussing semantics, if that's the definition you're using (character trademarks are skills aswell) I'm agreeing with you but not by my definition.

Avoid a trapped TH... really? Alright, quick lesson, don't attack a TH that isn't in the very corner of a base, all the THs that isn't are either trapped or in range of defences, everyone that read this part is now just as "skilled" as TH snipers in the 4k range.

If they barch and win I'm impressed, I don't believe I've seen or heard of anyone doing that though, since they are mainly relying on barch in that case and per definition isn't the TH snipers we're talking about.

You know very well that doesn't mean squat if a TH is in the corner. I've seen loads in the corner away from the base that are surrounded by teslas and bombs and skeletons, etc.

If you're a very low TH and you hit this, you're screwed and just wasted hours or even a whole days work.

And you're right, we are debating semantics with this, but it's Friday and almost done work, so here I am, haha.

Also, bear in mind a key part of this relates to the players level. If we're talking about a TH10 sniping his way to Champs, then I'd agree that's pretty lame. They have a lot of margin for error and it's a stupid, inefficient use of time and resources. But a very low TH can't afford a mistake without ruining his entire day of sniping. That's what is impressive.

That's why I wrote "in the very corner", every other base in champ league is trapped or covered by atleast 1 defence.

TH level doesn't matter much, that's the point, both just as many trophies if they fail, gain just as many if they succeed, ofc if you mean that the TH 10 brings enough army to take down a trapped base or one within defences then sure it's a difference.

The very corner still doesn't mean anything. Still room for 4 teslas. And that's why I said margin for error. If a high TH hits that trap, they can still defeat it. But good luck destroying a TH with level 3 troops with 4 maxed teslas zapping away at your 150 overmatched troops.

it is way easier to get to master with a strong army than snipping...

I've tried it at th6.. 7 and didn't bother at th8

only succeeded at th9 with legit army
