Why congratulate th snipers

They may have no skill, but they have a lot of patience. I do completely agree with you that sniping to Master or Champion League is nothing to be proud of (I wouldn't feel good about it anyway), but it is nice to see a low level TH above 3,200 trophies. :)

Well, not everyone has time to do it. So that alone is what makes it difficult. The same could be said for reaching Champs the traditional way. Just like sniping, it's something that doesn't tons of skill. There's nothing in this game that can't be done by anyone who puts in the time and effort to learn.

So it's really an issue of not congratulating someone for what you deem as taking a shortcut to reach the same goal. No matter how it's done, though, only a small percentage of players ever reach Champs.

It just seems petty to me to refuse recognition because someone did something differently.

Let me enlighten you on basic human decency, since it appear you were never taught.

When something special happens to someone or they succeed at completing a goal it's courteous to congratulate them. In this case the player set out on a long mission to reach champion, a mission he knew would take a long time, and he succeeded. The proper thing to do is congratulate him regardless of how much skill it takes.

Does it take skill to walk 100 miles? Does it take skill to get a women pregnant? Not really. But if that's what someone set out to do then you should congratulate them.

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/difficult Just cause you don't have the time to do something doesn't make it a difficult task, I didn't have time to shop today, that doesn't mean that I think it's hard to shop.

But if you put in the time and effort to learn how to play the game you're suddenly a skilled player, winning over bases takes skill, you can compare the good and bad ones in wars, can you really not see the difference? I you practice football every day and becomes a starter in a team, isn't that more impressive then if you're the son of the coach and becomes a starter that way?

Sorry, but those are both terrible analogies. First off, because it still takes time to reach Champs the traditional way. Again, there's nothing so difficult in this game that can't be done without time. The term skill is thrown around way too loosely. Time is the greatest resource and patience is the most important skill.

Furthermore, in regards to the football analogy, that makes no sense at all. The sniper still had to work his tail off to get to Champs, while you're trying to compare the sniper to someone who was handed the job while doing nothing.

I have never said that either, you "guy" need to read my posts before answering them :rolleyes:

I've only said that I don't believe it's worth congratulating anyone if it doesn't require any skill in achieving it, just as I'm not congratulating people because they managed to take a step. That's my opinion and I don't care if you congratulate people for it or not, I just don't see why except beeing nice, the threads are not started by the ones reaching champ though, everyone I've seen is started by someone else.

Before you throw your baby analogy at me I have to ask, are you congratulating people that gets a baby without having planned it?
