It's what the clan castle looks like when a player isn't in a clan (no flag).
They left their clan with troops in their CC, so they get deployed out of a butter churn.
It's his clan castle troops.
So he got troops from a clan, then left them. Because he is no longer with that clan he doesn't have their shield, but this weird thing instead :)

Thank you all for your help i have been playing coc for a year and had never seen that before
