I did it... Finally did it :')
So, today I hit champion league. I know for many of you this is nothing special, but just wanted to come on here and brag a bit, as I was super excited (sorry). I am only a fresh TH9, so seeing all those electric walls were quite intimidating.
NOTE: Read on if you're interested about how I got here. If not, here's the pic of my base in champs... barely:)

How I got to champs:
Well, I started off in Gold 2, I believe, farming there. I decided I'd like a change of pace, and started pushing. Getting to crystal was no problem of course, just barching was enough. After I got to crystal 1, things changed a bit. Needed to implement some giants in there to take some heavy fire. Still was able to mange 50% on most bases. After I got into master 3, I went with GoWiPe, hitting the few bases without inferno towers.
After awhile and getting comfortable with GoWiPe, I stumbled upon a rushed TH10. I thought "okay, so he has inferno towers, no big deal." I was wrong. Failed my first attack in master 2 I believe, and out of anger, failed the second. I wanted to give up so bad. The only thing stopping me was the message coming up saying "you need to train some troops before attacking" haha. I cooled off and started over.
After I hit the upper portion of master 2, I stopped GoWiPe, thought it was too risky as there are almost no TH9s here anymore. Went on to mass dragon for 50% wins. This worked very well until 3150 trophies. My last 2 mass dragon attacks were only saved by the last hit of my archer queen. Through every search I was nervous, thinking I may misclick and drop a troop instead of nexting. When I had to log off, I needed 45 more trophies to champs. So instead of risking a -59 3-star revenge, I bought a 24-hour shield. Figured I could get those 45 trophies in the last session.
On to the last session. I will admit this now: at this point, I was only desperately looking for exposed THs to snipe. I did not want to risk anything being so close. The night before I spent 800k and 2 hours nexting not to find a single one. They are quite rare up there. But to my luck, I found 2 rather quickly. Only 30 or so trophies more. What happened next was miraculous... Upon the hundreds and hundreds of maxed or nearly maxed TH10s, there stood a TH8... and a horribly rushed one at that. 3-starred him for 17 trophies. The final few were gotten by sniping one more base and that was that. My entire clan was following my progression, and it felt good to finally reach my goal. But...it will feel better when I'm finally back down to gold :p
