th9 and th8 raids too oppressive.

then you're in the wrong league. TH8 stomps every TH7 in clan wars too, it's the natural progression. upgrade and get over it.

the main threat is the AQ , most of the time all their tanks are dead but the AQ snipes storages.

Small fish always gets eaten by big fish. The only thing you can do is minimize the damage. That can be done by two simple things:

1) Manage your resources efficiently. This means scheduling your workers effectively and being smart about when to ride a free shield and when to cancel it.

2)A good base design.

If you consider the above two then it's very unlikely that a guy will hit you w/ a 120K army and then use another 120K on spells.

I have always loved attacking low. It's the most economical, fastest way of going up. Forget boosting three rax for balloonian when u can boost one rax and cook a 100-120K army in 10 minutes.

Anyways...th8 has lots of loot. If you aren't coming across th7 inactives then u are in the wrong trophy range. IMO 1500-1700 is the best for a th8. 1600 being the sweet spot.

Try some other base design. A Giant based Army shouldn't be able to three star your base.

Try Silver 1, Gold 3. I raid the storages of TH7's using BAG + heal(if necessary). Also I get sniped a lot despite having 2.5 mill of each.

Kind of agree with you. TH8s are the main prey for TH9, and even TH10. Especially for TH10, usually TH9s are not too easy to crack, but TH8s are so easy to crack that even with the 50% penalty very often it is still profitable. So, I do understand your feeling.

If I spend all my gold and elixir, I still get stomped for my DE being saved up. It usually means I get three starred on top of losing 1000-2000 DE. I have 1.5 million gold or elixir? Which is not that uncommon as upper level structures start becoming expensive at this level, good chance a TH9 will come to town and take over 200K each.

Same with me. Three starred once as a th8 and it was by a th10 with level 6 giants level 7 barch and a level 18 king and 17 queen and full spells. Level 6 giants are a bane but I'm not getting three starred.
